To be honest, I I’ve been a loyal customer of Assurance Wireless for over a year now and after the way, I was treated within these past two days even by their supervisor I would not even rate Assurance Wireless with one star they refuse to help me and wanted me to pay money for a free phone and refused to honor their end of replacing one of their phones which no longer served its purpose so they continuously gave me phone numbers to other cell phone companies that did not give out cell phones, and then after consulting with a supervisor after getting hung up on by one of their reps, he told me that it was not the Phone and tried to pressure me into buying a phone and I told him I needed help. He refused to, unless I would pay for a phone and then end the call when I told him it sounded like you were refusing to help me even after I told him I did everything with the phone and my phone was refusing to act right and I had the phone long enough. I would not refer Assurance Wireless to another living soul, especially to rip people off who are needing any type of cell phones because now they’re saying that they are no longer issuing free cell phones or free government phones to anybody and they are refusing to help people unless you can pay for Almighty Dollar for a phone and if they’re refusing to help anybody or a poor soul to help then obviously they are not worth the time or the energy to even dial the number of Assurance Wireless to even be access to even keep any accounts up access with Assurance Wireless to even help a customer and I will honestly say they are low specially for customers who are needed a phone you come out better with help from people like T-Mobile and other cell phone providers that are willing to help if you are willing to pay because these people are not willing to

I purchased a brand new phone on December 11th I received it on December 15th the phone does not even power on I have been calling them since December 15th I have left 39 emails and not one person has gotten back to me I have stage three colon cancer and kidney disease and I am a widow I have been without a cell phone it is now almost a month and nobody helps me !!!!Do not, I repeat do not do business with Assurance wireless they are horrible how can anybody be this sick and be without a cell phone a cockroach shouldn't be treated like this shame on all of them how can they put their heads on their pillow at night with a clean and clear conscience
They need to up their game
I first starting using these guys during covid because I had no choice. I know for a fact that to this day , their coverage sucks. static,dropped calls, no modern phones. Not even gonna comment on customer service because we all know every company that hires overseas sucks with that. The finally straw happened about 2 years ago where I kept having issues with people trying to "claim" my assurance number and they automatically threw me out and had to reapply. this happened more than once. It's obvious the phone numbers they give you are not secure. Airtalk is better!

Shipping almost doubled the cost of the crappy phone I was forced to buy and they charged sales tax on the shipping! I do not think that is legal but this company is sanctioned by the corrupt state governments. The only shipping option I was given was the most expensive service, the most expensive way and I am sure the phone is crap and service will be crap too. Just a way for corrupt companies to profit from the poor, this was a lifeline phone. It will probably kill me.
A double rip off. Day after order when they charged me so much for "2 day air" they send an email saying "Order Delayed". This company only exists because they have the Gov't tit to suck and rip off the poor.
This place charged me 2nd day air via UPS I had no choice, it was not shipped for 2 days after order and was send GROUND, another lie for a company that is a huge fraud. I do not have the crappy phone I was forced to by yet. 7 days later.

If I could rate with half a star or less, I would. The only reason they get 1 is because someone answered the phone twice! Unfortunately whoever answered the first time claimed they could complete my recertification application over the phone and allegedly did before giving me the number to the National Verifier. When I called them, they stated that Assurance sent them a phony document from another state that claims I was receiving benefits. I was livid and was able to explain to the agent I never provided a counterfeit document to Assurance. I did send the NV authentic documents immediately afterwards and was approved within an hour. Since my phone was off with Assurance, I called them a second time, told them what happened and that I didn't want to do business with them any longer. The representative, who acted as if she didn't care, switched me over to the survey recording, meaning she had disconnected the call. I chose a different carrier to do business with after that incident and already see they have a much higher rating. Assurance may set you up for fraud charges and they might even be the same people who were once Q-Link until they got shut down.

I had easily the worst customer service experience of my life trying to cancel an order. They lied to me and gave me an absolute run around with no solution to canceling my order. I ended up just having to file a dispute with my bank which is a headache in it of itself. Do not get assurance wireless

I am totally embarrassed that I had to deal assurance wireless. After dealing with them for months. I got a phone for my dad. They couldn’t activate a Wi-Fi didn’t work and I bought the phone from them. I returned the phone but another phone spent $500 on a new phone back-and-forth back-and-forth with Insurance wireless, and finally when I get a SIM card to activate. They told me that the services been disconnected because the phone has not been activated. Every agent that I spoke to never put notes on the account. I was just on the phone with them today, November 5 at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. The lady put me on home. Never came back. Some supervisor came on the phone and then he disconnected my call, so I really got to talk to no one. The point of it all is that my dad does not have a phone. He’s 91 years old and he’s in a nursing home. I have never dealt with a company that is so I’m reliable and so unprofessional and so kind. They keep telling you will help. You will help. You will help you, but nobody’s helping. I will never recommend this Company to anyone. I feel like this people have violated my Personal. Integrity and I’m sorry that my sister originally started the business with them when she originally got the phone from my dad. And because my sister, then I want to deal with my dad anymore. I have to take over the phone problem And so I have, but this Company has not helped with anything anyway, if you’re looking to activate a free phone for your dad or your mom, who is still in a nursing home. Please don’t have to wait through Insurance wireless. Their services is totally not good with that being said, let me take a deep breath because I need to move on.

I got my life line Renewal in June and was approved until 2026. Assurance wireless cut my phone number off saying it wasn’t approved by life line pay 50.00 it will be 5 to 7 days to fix the problem. I refuse to let T-Mobile scam me

First, the company needs to be able to get better delivery drivers! If the company use UPS delivery drivers then they need to deliver the phones to the CORRECT UPS store, not to any store they feel like delivering to! MY address is a UPS store so there should not have been any excuses as why my phone never got to my address, so that means my phone is STOLEN and the LifeLine form never was sent as well and that's why I went to a different carrier after waiting several weeks Sept 2025 to be REapproved by another Free Phone salesperson in Person instead of your unreliable, dishonest, disrespectful Non-Assurance service! Someone in the mail service took my phone, that's Identity Theft, a Federal offense!

I'm a struggling mother working 6 day's a week n can't afford a phone bill I applied for assurance wireless n had to buy a phone so I paid $110 for the foxxd phone they said it was delivered but I never received it so I spent over a week trying to get it figured out finally I was able to file a. claim they said they would send me my phone 4 day's later I got my phone well not the one I paid for they sent me their cheep free phone so once again I'm spending hour's on hold to just get the run around n finally when I got a supervisor n tried to explain the situation she didn't care to listen she hung up on me I bought my phone on the 6th of September n still a month later nothing infact the free cheap phone they sent me I can't even get service on it this whole thing is a scam I dont understand how they still have a contract with the government phone's they are supposed to help...

I received my phone in Dec 2024 and was never told there was only a 90 day warrenty. Now I have NEVER had a smart phone in my life, so how am I supposed to know within 90 days what the phone is supposed to do and not do, when it started doing things I now know it's not supposed to do it was still under warrenty, but I did not know it was doing wrong. After about 5 or 6 months I figured out that some of what it was doing was not correct, and they will not do a thing, one of the worst things it does is get HOT with use, I guess the goverment and assurance wireless feels that handing out inferior and dangerious items to the public is acceptable!

Advertise 10GB free data on Lifeline plan with free phone. After application process, no free phone, and only 4.5GB data. Typical of a company owned by T-Mobile.

While trying to contact customer service, the it just keeps trying to sell me items but will not transfer over to customer service for assistance. Please stay away from this company if you can, I understand some indigent individuals may need it, but if possible, find an alternative.
Don’t think USA during all my calls
My phone just cut off while I was at work with no warning I couldn’t see my work route for the day. Told me I was no longer eligible and to do anything I would have to top up so I put what I had on there a couple hours later I couldn’t make a call because my top up was all gone and needed to top up again after topping up again the next morning I was cut off again all my top up money was used for calling them they don’t tell you 10 cent a minute after talking to them and placed on hold 4 times I only had 30 cent left on my top up I’ve used 59 mb of 1000 mb but I can’t use use it until I top up double this time I’ve bought data and I’ve plaid for extra data every month and I’m turned off with only using 56 mb they do nothing but give phones out for the free government assistance if something happens dont waste your time they lie and lie with misinformation not telling you how there charging you for talking to you everyday I owe them money plus I bought a phone from them over 200$

Phone did not come, called Assurance. Representative DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH.
Asked for supervisor, was told there is no one is available. Called second time couple dates later again representative and manager did not speak English. Asked for corporate or customer relationship. BOTH said this company located in AMERICA. This company needed to report to Attorney General for scamming people like my son who are American citizen and is illegible for it but cannot get it because of foreign scammers.... Shame......
Tried it Twice with provided phone and BYOD
I have tried Assurance wireless twice because the secondtime i signed up for lifeline I didn't realise that was the company i was with the first time. Both were terrible experiences that basically provided service that never seemed to work.
The first time i applied for the lifeline service was in 2018 they provided me with a phone that was so cheap it shocked me. The screen was shockingly small and barely fit more than 4 app icons on it. The speed of the phone itself was so slow. The graphics were so pixilated it was almost comical. Although the service was the worst part. I rarely seemed to get a signal for anything. I couldnt use it as a gps because it would lose network connectivity so much. I thought maybe it was because i lived in a more rural area. They shouldnt be pushing their service then in that area of they cant provide the coverage though. Phone calls were just as problematic and i found most calls were often choppy and both parties having to say "can you hear me" throughout the call. Many calls would drop I ended up assuming the lifeline phone service was worthless crap and paid for a cheap phone service plan and allowed the lifeline phone to be disconected after 2 months of trying to deal with it. I tried thier service again with their BYOD plan in orange county, ca in 2024. I put the sim card into my phone. I had a phone that allowed for dual sim cards so i had a cheap prepaid plan to fall back onto after the GB of data Assurance provided were spent. Well, i found the prepaid sim card was doing all the work. I took the other SIM out to make sure i wasnt using their system. The data was unbelievably slow and dead in most seclctions of my apartment. Outside didnt improve much better when i would just have Assurance as the only sim card. There was no excuse for poor quality signal now. I had their card set to be the primary on the phone and for it to switch to the other when Assurances coverage would drop and Assurances coverage was on so little that i used up the back up data plan. I used google voice to route my calls so that i had only one number, the phone would often have trouble routing my calls through assurance though and so i found that Assurance was turned off because the phone was never seeing it as a connected data source and. I feel like this company is intentionally sucking the lifeline program of money while providing the cheapest possible service to those who have it. When i have tried to call customer service i would end up hanging up because the wait times were too long. It is a waste of time using their horrible service. Since TMobile owns it, they are clearly cabable of providing a working phone service. They just dont care to because they make more money if they just run a low signal and send out the cheapest phones around. The government should stop working with them
