GREAT WAY to MAKE PAYMENTS

the payment ring arrived promptly. set up was simple, connected the ring to the app and connected my curve payment card to the app.
purchases when using the ring with payment terminals work well. follow the advice from astari on where to place your hand on the terminal, it ensures a good nfc connection.
I can confirm the payment ring works well even when you don't have your phone with you.

Would absolutely recommend!

Great quality ring, ceramic so it doesn't scratch like steel and titanium rings I have had in the past. The payment functionality is awesome and lots of people comment on it, but it is incredibly convenient and never requires you to tap twice or anything.
There was an issue with the shipping, but the customer service responded swiftly and helpfully and ensured I got it in good time. A friend asked me where they can get a payment ring and although I had researched other brands, I immediately recommended astari wearables. 11/10.

Great for older or arthritic people

I ordered and delivery was fast. I did struggle with the set up as I also had to set up a curve account, but once that was sorted it was up and running, now I wouldn't be without it, love that I dont have to 'fiddle about' to get my card out of my purse. As an 'older person' with arthritis I find this invaluable and would thoroughly recommend it.

Excellent product and customer service

I ordered wrong size ring and it was so easy to return and get another one, really quick to respond to any questions and actually helped and answered me each time I needed help. Not used the ring yet a I need to set it up but am using the keyring which is fab very easy to set up and use

Read the smallprint and always question information given by the company.

I ordered a ring from Astari at the end of November. Some days later the tracker showed that the package had not yet been collected. Astari told me that the ring was now in the UK and that the tracker was wrong. Another few days and they advised that there were ongoing issues with the courier and that they had lost the parcel. (they sent me a link to a newspaper article explaining the issue. At least I think it was that but as I don't speak Dutch it could have been something totally different) They ordered a replacement.

Some days later both rings arrived. I tried with both but could not set either up using my phone. It seems that some phones (mine is a Galaxy A05s) do not work with these items. I tried with my current phone, an older phone of the same model Finally I managed it with a much older Galaxy A10.

It was only at this point that I read through the Curve terms and conditions. I had wanted the ring in order to avoid having to get my wallet out in crowded spaces like stations, bars, shops etc. One of the main uses would be on holiday. However, unless you take out a paid monthly Curve subscription, payments outside the country in which the card is registered, are limited to £250 in any one month. Obviously this is not sufficient to pay for meals, drinks, entrance charges etc on a holiday of more than a couple of days.

I do feel that this is an underhand way to get customers to sign up for a paid Curve account. This limit really needs to be made more clear on the advertising.

Astari agreed a refund, and asked that I send the rings using a tracked service, the cost of which they would cover.

I received an email saying that they had received the ring and refunded the full amount including postage. This was not true. I emailed to say that the postage had not been refunded and I was told that their system would only allow a refund of the price of the goods, not the postage (contradicting what I had previously been told). They asked for my bank details - which I am reluctant to email. It looks like I will have to bear the cost of that postage myself.

I have to say that responses to my emails were always fast and polite, but very lacking in accuracy.

It is a shame. This would have been a very useful tool but they need to make sure that the item can be used fully without having to pay for the privilege. Also, staff really need much better understanding of their own systems.

Before responding publicly to any review, we always work directly with the customer first to resolve the issue. In your case, this involved extensive one to one email support, multiple troubleshooting attempts, a replacement shipment, and ultimately a full refund once you decided the product was not right for you. Only after those steps do we reply publicly, so readers have the full context.

Throughout this process we made every effort to resolve matters fairly and constructively. While we understand frustration when things do not work as expected, repeatedly speaking down about or dismissing our support team does not help resolve the situation and is not appropriate. Our team remained professional, polite, and committed to helping at every stage.

For clarity for anyone reading this review.

During a very busy shipping period, your original parcel was delayed. Once this became clear, we took responsibility immediately and sent a replacement ring at our own cost, which resulted in you receiving two rings. At no point was your order at risk without a solution.

From a technical perspective, both rings were fully functional. This was confirmed when the ring successfully linked using an older Samsung device that supports NFC. The difficulty arose with the primary phone used, a Samsung Galaxy A05s, which either does not include NFC hardware or did not have NFC enabled. NFC is not the same as Bluetooth, and settings such as Nearby Device Scanning do not enable NFC. Once an NFC capable phone with NFC correctly enabled was used, the ring worked exactly as intended. Most mainstream smartphones support NFC, but some entry level models do not. This indicates a device compatibility or configuration issue rather than a fault with the ring.

Regarding international payments, the spending limit mentioned is set by Curve on their free plan and is not imposed or controlled by Astari. We agree this could be clearer upfront, and we are improving how this is communicated.

When you chose to return the rings, we agreed to a full refund including return postage. The product refund was completed correctly to your original payment method. Due to payment provider restrictions, the return postage had to be refunded separately. We offered secure alternatives such as PayPal or Wise when you preferred not to share bank details by email. Without a payment destination, it is not technically possible to send funds.

We acknowledge that our communication around shipping expectations and Curve dependency can be improved, and your feedback has already contributed to internal changes. At the same time, we believe the time, effort, and goodwill shown by our team deserve to be reflected more accurately than a one star rating.

We regret that Astari was not the right fit for you at this time, and we wish you all the best.

Great product

I ordered the white ceramic one + ring sizer. I had no issues whatsoever. It took about two weeks for them to arrive in Bulgaria. Setting up was easy. The product is great I love it.

The customer service experience was…

The customer service experience was amazing. However, the process of setting up took me longer than expected. I have Dyslexia and found it much harder to get and understand the curve pay. I've owned a ring pay before from a different company unfortunately they didn't last long. But the convenience was amazing and when I heard about Astari I didn't hesitate. I love the different colours and other styles to. So I'll definitely be buying more to add to my collection. Works amazing hassle-free

Beats taking your phone out

I bought the ring and I have to say I'm so pleased with it. It's so handy for making a payment,no messing with bank cards or having to take out my phone and unlocking it to make a payment. I'd highly recommend this product.

Love my ring

Love my ring, even bought one for the wife. It's really easy to set-up and the simplicity of not having to get your wallet and then your card out all the time to pay is fantastic. Highly recommended !

I believe it might help to try and position the ring as follows: if the payment terminal is standing up straight (which I think is likely the case) like this |. then it is important that you hold the ring parallel to the terminal like this |, so that the ring has the best chance to be read. For most people this results in bending the finger you wear the ring on, and then try and press the finger knuckle against the terminal in the correct spot. It is hard to explain via just text. Fantastic way of paying

Fantastic way of paying! The Astari payment ring is amazing. The face on the people with the card machines when i make payments is hilarious!
One lady said “i had a customer pay with his watch yesterday” i replied “that’s so old school, watch this!” I paid with my Astari Ring and she was speechless! 🤣
Hoping the new gold version 2 is slightly wider to match my wedding ring, waiting to purchase v2.
