Leased an Audi A6 Avante EV on a 3 year deal. Vehicle has had multiple electrical faults which are common with this model. My main issue is that I haven't received a reply to multiple emails to the company and the current UK call wait time is 45+ minutes. I have leased a vehicle for 3 months and for 4 weeks the vehicle has been off the road with the dealership with no updates from Athlon or Audi. The cost of the lease is very competitive and the car was delivered as new with only minor bodywork damage. The aftercare in the UK is the issue with staff stating they are overwhelmed at the moment.

Athlon was strong on flexibility and customer focus; under Arval, expect standardization, tighter control, and less room to maneuver.

Worst lease company I experienced so far.
Previous lease cars by Alphabet, they are 10 times better.
Athlon really does not care, does not help, they only care about cost savings.
Leaving you with the extra effort to keep your car maintained and working.

There are multiple reasons
1. Athlon's lease amount for my Mercedes EQB250+ was much competitive compared to that offered directly by Mercedes' Financial Services
2. The Athlon staff is very, very helpful - I can think of so many situations where this was true. For example I had an accident for the first time in Netherlands for no mistake of mine. They walked me through the process and helped me with each and every question.
3. There have been multiple cases where I have had questions. The private lease customer service department are very, very prompt in responding and are very cordial and very helpful - making excellent customer experience at the centre of their dealings

I have had a faulty car for over a year now, the media screen has not worked properly and flashes which is distracting. The sat nav rarely works. I have been to the dealer numerous times abs they have said they have no idea what's wrong with it after replacing most of the system and rebuilding it numerous times. I have now been waiting for Athlon to arrange for me to take it to another dealer before they agree to end the contract. The dealer i have been taking it to already has a specialist mechanic (with awards for his skill) but they are insisting i take it elsewhere. I agreed begrudgingly. They have still not contacted me with the details despite me calling back and emailing. I have had enough, I shouldn't be paying all this money monthly for a faulty car and poor service!

I have had Lease cars from Athlone for the past 5yrs . Never had any issues . Excellent choice of vehicles and a great service Team . Thank you very much Niels Schep for the great service . This man goes above and beyond to ensure things are done .

Unsafe cars delivered and no customer service
Terrible company, delivered car with out of date car software and navigation software and then just told me to sort it out. I don't even know if the car is safe. Do not use this company if you value the safety of your family.

They are thieves they past my contract from 25000km a year 17500km with out my permit and the monthly payment only went down 20 euros a month that mean 120 a year that mean 2000 km a year no 7500km because the contract price is 0,12 per km and now I need a laywer to fight then please if anyone had the same problem please let know!

One of the Worst decision ever to lease a car from Athlon

Very very poor service and people on call are useless. Never willing to help , you pay them and there are no services.

Communication is absolutely abysmal. I went in to get winter tires fitted. I was told that the tire warning notice would disappear after a few minutes. After a day it was still there. Turned out 2 of my tires were only half inflated. I mean who fails at fitting a few tires properly? Then it took me 1.5 weeks of emailing back and forth just to get my worn-out windshield wipers replaced. Go with LeasePlan if you can and just walk right past Athlon if you could.

Avoid Athlon at all costs. I won't bore you with the details, but this company still thinks that in 2023 it can and is OK to bully lessees into changing, on the fly, leasing rules.

This company decided to change the takeover rules of a car, scamming me into paying about 3.000 to 4.000 EUR more than initially projected. I'll make sure that all my colleagues push to change the leasing company at the office. Everybody has had bad experiences with them, and this is just too much.

Great Company for leasing a new car. I had no problems what so ever and everything worked out fine. From ordering the car as to keeping you up to date about deliveries. Very nice company to lease your car at no hidden costs, everything is crystal clear.

Don’t ever go with them. Their communication is the worst. You need to constantly e-mail them about the same subject. For example I had vine, but I objected and it was also granted. I send them the approval months in januari. Today I received the bill for that same vine. They e-mailed me a 100 times, that my contract was at it’s due. I told them 4 times I don’t want no contract with you guys anymore. I even made an appointment to turn my car in and still received an e-mail that still they did not received an answer what I wanted to do at the due of my contract. Guyssss choose wisely and go for a nice business who cares about keeping their customers.

Be aware of this lease company.... they love to sell and do a good job at it! Of course 99% of the time the cars are in good condition and work well. HOWEVER, when there is something wrong with the car, which can happen of course, then ATHLON does nothing to make the problem go away. They have you send back the car to the dealer 10-15 times and nothing changes.

In my case, the electronics part of the car is not working well, navi, telephone, battery, heating, etc. It is an electric car, so without this, often the car stalls and cant be driven. Since November I have had this problem and since November, the car has been back to the dealer 8 times (once per month) and problems are not resolved.

Athlon is not doing enough to put pressure on the dealer, they are slowing at responding, follow up is close to 0 and solutions are not there. This is not acceptable and I strongly recommend anyone to look for another lease company if they have a choice.
