Too little attention paid to our profiles and preferences

Although ATJ came highly recommended, there were all too many misses in the planning of our month long trip to NZ and AUS. At the outset, we did a phone 'meet and greet' to give very specific information about our past travel experiences, our personal preferences/interests and our personal states of health and limitations. On the whole, ATJ did well enough, however, the misses were glaring. There were too many days that focused on hiking and landscape viewing. We made it very clear at hiking was not among our capacities or interests. There were several missed opportunities to spend time in urban environments and museums rather than wasting time and resources in national parks and waiting for hotel rooms to be readied or planes to depart. NZ and AUS are fabulous destinations and we are thrilled to have spent a month exploring them. However, the frustrations we experienced could have been avoided with more focused and thoughtful planning by our travel expert. In all too many instances the misalignment between our preferences and the tour choices was avoidable.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that parts of your experience in New Zealand and Australia did not align as closely with your travel preferences and expectations as intended.

Our team works hard to tailor each itinerary around our travelers’ interests, pace, and priorities, so we regret that some elements of the trip felt mismatched for you. We appreciate the opportunity we had to speak with you directly following your return and to better understand your perspective.

We’re grateful you were still able to enjoy these incredible destinations, and we sincerely appreciate your candid feedback, as it helps us continue improving the care and personalization we provide to future travelers.
