Bad practice, deceiving, lack of communication
We went to see the property and the agent, George, was late. We liked it and he asked us to put an offer on the property ASAP, there was another viewing one hour after us. He sent us a predefined offer by email, we signed it, then we heard nothing. We emailed, called and texted the agent for a few days, there was no answer. We ran into him on the street and asked him what happened, he told us somebody else submitted an offer 10 minutes before us and our offer was not even sent to the landlord. We did not believe the story for one second, we asked him how could the people after us submit the offer before us, it was not physically possible. And why they would not send all the offers to the landlord to decide, which is common practice? Horrible service, unprofessional and shady behavior, the negative reviews here are correct, avoid this agency at all costs!
Requested viewing but no response
Requested viewing/information for a good number of properties but never received a response. For one or two other properties, we did receive a response initially but they never managed to arrange the viewing. This has happened with 3 properties that I have enquired. It's the Wapping branch mostly with the agent's name being Danny.

Charlie Hodge was so lovely and helpful throughout the whole process of getting a flat. He was very good at explaining everything and made my friend and I feel very comfortable. As well as that everything was done with ease and very quickly.
At first it was good then it was horrible
At the beginning, my experience with Atkinson Mcleod was great as they were very responsive throughout the flat hunting process. The moment I put the deposit down, the agent that was taking care of my tenancy would not reply to my texts or emails for days. I did not know whether I could sign my tenancy agreement until a couple of days before I was supposed to move in. I have now been living in my flat for a month and the lack of responsiveness is absolutely disappointing. The flat had many repairs that needed to be done. I am still waiting for this. Whenever I needed to check something with the landlady or needed to contact the agency, it would take a week or more because of the lack of responsiveness of every department at Atkinson McLeod. From property management to accounts - it has been a nightmare.
