Absolutely wonderful company. Five very well deserved stars from me.

Having worked client side for a few years, I've engaged several agencies for a mixture of seo, design, and tech. On reflection (after several relationships), no one has really come close to Atom42. Thought it might be easier to break it down into sections that are important to me, as a marketeer:

Relationship
We had a knowledgable team assigned to us, headed up by an attentive and personable account manager (Laura) who we dealt with for the most part.
When we had some technical problems with our site, I also had direct access to the technical team until it was sorted. There was no gate-keeper situation that I’ve experienced with a smaller agency (on more than one occasion).
We also had access to the senior team (again, on more than one occasion) when senior board members from my organisation needed additional guidance on the strategy elements of the project.

Reporting
Part of the initial discovery meeting involved a Q&A session where Atom asked us questions related to key people/stakeholders in our business, and then put together a reporting schedule which fit our needs perfectly. A massive time saver for me, was that the reports were written and the stats presented with our audience in mind - i.e. not full of jargon or fluff, and could be sent to the relevant people without edits.

Onboarding
As soon as we confirmed we were going to start working with these guys, the process was explained up front; something which is often taken for granted in agency land. We had an initial on-boarding session where the project team at Atom met with the key people at our end (editorial, commercial, technical, marketing) and plugged in to how our business works. I now know this was a critical building block in the project for two reasons: 1) the process of having staff (some of whom have no previous agency experience) interface directly with the Atom team built trust from a very early stage, and 2) I believe the data transfer between us and Atom helped them to come up with some really unique approaches to otherwise flat content.

Training
Part of our project involved a training session for our editorial team, the majority of whom had no seo background. These were really engaging and structured sessions with takeaway cheat sheets, which immediately boosted our internal seo awareness.

Creativity
We experienced a fairly serious technical issue with our GA, which none of our technical team were able to solve. Kris at Atom spotted it and ultimately fixed it. The main reason I’d recommend these guys though, is the creativity and ideas they brought to our project. I’ve seen a lot of the same seo tools and benchmarks used at other agencies, but Atom’s application of ideas helped us deliver actual results, and in some really innovative ways.

Overall some of the best I've worked with, if you understand the long term importance of SEO.

I've worked with Atom42 on various projects since they started, bringing them into the fold whenever clear, practical, effective advice and implementation is required when it comes to acquiring (or reacquiring) customers for businesses.
