ATTENTI
I was contacted by Fouzia Saleem from Attenti Consulting about a Financial Assessment Officer role in Social Services. I was told that I must set up a limited company immediately to proceed, even before seeing a contract or knowing which local authority the job was for.
Feeling hopeful and rushed, I spent £50 to register a limited company and sent over sensitive personal documents including my passport and home address, as they said they needed it urgently for compliance. I asked for details about the job and the local authority, but they refused to disclose it, saying it was confidential. That should have been a red flag.
I was given the phone number +44 (0)207 422 7426, which appears in Fouzia Saleem’s email signature, but when I called it, it connected me to a completely unrelated company who said they had no idea who Fouzia Saleem or Attenti Consulting were. I tried multiple times — no one from Attenti answered.
Eventually, I received an email from Fouzia saying that Attenti did not win the contract after all, and that they would “keep my details on file.” This was after I had gone through the entire compliance process and spent money under pressure. No apology, no compensation, no accountability.
At this point, it feels like I was misled or even scammed. They now have my personal and financial details, and I feel totally exposed.
I will be reporting this to Action Fraud and the police, and I hope no one else has to go through this experience. Be extremely cautious about giving Attenti any personal documents or paying any money without an official contract in place.
STAY AWAY - they have y details and i'm scared i will call the fraud line for more help. I'm so disappointed in myself. I was vulnerable as i really wanted a new job
