Scam – Fake tracking numbers and demands for extra payment

I ordered an ATV from atvkart.com in July 2025.

First, they provided a UPS tracking number that was never activated.

Then they asked me to pay an extra $200 for “shipping and tariffs,” even though the website clearly stated shipping was included.

Later, they sent a fake EMS tracking number and even a fabricated shipping label.

Despite repeated requests, they have never provided any verifiable proof that the order was shipped.

This is a classic scam pattern: delay tactics, false tracking, and requests for more money. I strongly advise others to avoid this seller.

Update 12.10.2025:

Response to your terrific reply. It has now been almost 100 days since the order was placed, and you still haven’t provided any valid shipping information.
Instead of proof of delivery, you send excuses — and now threats of “legal action” for leaving an honest review.

That says everything anyone needs to know about this scam.

This review is inaccurate and misrepresents both the order and our actions. Below are the facts, with dates and documentation.

Order & route

Order: #117024 (Norway)

Route: China → sea/rail line → EU hub → DPD last-mile in Norway

As stated in our FAQ: for sea/rail, public tracking scans usually appear only after customs clearance in the destination country. This is standard for containerized international freight.

What actually happened (all documented):

July 18 — Customer received order confirmation. We immediately booked long-haul capacity on the China→Norway lane, which has been capacity-constrained this season.

July 30 – August — We repeatedly informed the customer that public scans would appear after arrival and customs hand-over in the EU/Norway leg (we sent explanatory screenshots).

August 22 — We provided the long-haul reference/label and confirmed hand-off to the international network; we again explained that the DPD number is created after clearance for last-mile.

September — We continued supplying route screenshots, ETAs, and asked by email for the customer to prepare import/clearance information.

Early–mid October — The cargo arrived at the port for the Norway leg. From that point, we kept emailing updates and cooperation requests (customs documents, duty notice, pick-up/DPD handover steps). The customer did not reply for extended periods and did not cooperate, then unilaterally canceled the order, which caused the shipment to sit at port and incur storage fees.

Regarding “fake tracking” / “extra $200”:

We never issued fake tracking. For sea/rail, the initial code is a carrier/forwarder reference, not a door-to-door courier code; the DPD tracking is generated after customs when the parcel is broken out for last-mile delivery.

About the $200: Norway is a taxable import market. Any request related to duties, documentation, or port/handling arises from the logistics and import process—not extortion. We explained this transparently and provided options.

What we offered (but the customer declined or ignored):

Ongoing shipment updates with screenshots and route logs.

Proceed to delivery on the stated timeline or cancel within the agreed refund window.

Step-by-step guidance on import paperwork to speed up delivery.

Multiple email reminders requesting cooperation for customs clearance—no timely response received.

Verifiable facts:

Our FAQ (shared with the customer) explains that sea/rail shipments may show 20–30 days with no public tracking, and that DPD scans appear only after clearance.

The cargo did reach port for the Norway leg; we hold forwarder confirmations and route records.

We treat fraud allegations seriously. We are a legitimate business following standard cross-border freight procedures. Canceling after the cargo arrived at port and labeling us a “scam” is unreasonable and has generated avoidable storage/return costs.

Øyvind Paulsen, if you want the go-kart delivered, contact support@atvkart.com/hpyyiiuu@gmail.com
with order #117024 so we can finalize clearance and release to DPD immediately. If you insist on cancellation, we will process it under our international-freight policy (deducting actual port/storage/return costs incurred due to cancellation after arrival). We are ready to resolve this promptly.
