It's not as good as my Cyrus cd6se was but that could not be repaired. Bass is a bit wooly and some lack of presence in the lower midrange but it has a good soundstage. Not as exciting to listen to but John said it will need some time to run in. Well built chassis!

A superb CD player now in full use with a Naim SuperUniti and Magnepan LRS speakers in my attic studio. This is not my main system but I did try this CD player with a PrimaLuna amp and Quad ESL2805 speakers and it sounded almost as good as the much more pricey Audiolab 8300CD normally in this system. It is a genuine hifi bargain I would recommend it to anybody looking for a CD player in this price range.
