I am at large building at 417 N 8th St in Philadelphia, PA.

I am at 417 N 8th St at a business in this large building there. As you enter there is a guard/security station where you can check in and ask questions. I stopped there to ask for directions at the guard there is Chelsea, a younger 20’s-30’s woman of color working there. This woman Chelsea is so pleasant and soft spoken while answering questions. She knows her job and gives direction in a professional authoritative way that leaves the person asking the questions feeling comfortable with the information provided by Chelsea and knowing that the information is good information. It may be easy to not notice this extraordinary woman doing her job but her management should take notice of her and give her the kudos she deserves and probably more money and more responsibilities. She can handle the responsibilities.

Allied Universal Security with the aid of the public security for the Snoop dog concert

Tonight is the Snoop dog concert; while exiting from across the street and attempting to back out of my parking... The public safety was parked right next to the opening of the gate; in a no parking zone, at an angle. After a couple attempts or so; I exited my car, nicely asking the security officer if he could move his car or straighten it out... He rudely asked "for what?" I explained I couldn't back out, he remained combative... stating I had 5 feet... The Allied security one black female; went on to explain that the officer is parked their for their safety... even though he is a public service officer, as exiting a heavy set caucasian Allied security guard aggressively in a threatening tone said "just get the f-ck out of here"... this is not the first inappropriate unethical experience I've encountered with this company... The city is asking for a Liability ability lawsuit for sure, it is sickening that the public safety is the cause of the negative incident.

My husband has worked there 10+ years

My husband has worked there 10+ years. They took away paid vacation and no sick time. They just gave my husband a raise and then took it away. After the contract was signed to give my husband the pay, they said he is not eligible and Allied is pocketing that extra money. Such evil darkness in that company. How dare you treat your employees this way. You have destroyed our family!

I work in Portsmouth

I work in Portsmouth, Virginia. job # 128200
I truly respect my Account Manager; she is very professional, and she treats the employee like people and not just numbers. she continually works with me and all my coworkers. I feel fortunate to have her as a role model but there’s been many times where I want to turn in my resignation letter, but I couldn’t leave her hanging like that. I have witnessed time and time again where she has put herself on the back burner for myself and my coworkers, there were times where I felt like she was superhuman because she has shown us compassion when even myself should have been fired. Because of that very reason I have looked up to her as being my life role model and I chose to follow under her leadership. she is an extremely great leader and person. sometimes I don’t feel my coworkers appreciate her (the type of Account Manager she really is.) Often my coworkers do stupid things that might cause us to loss this contract, but my boss always comes to the rescue, or there were times where employees have fired themselves and become of the type of person, she is she oftentimes have given them another opportunity to get things right. There’s were many times where she has spent her personal time on people that I personally would have fired or even quit because of the stress it caused to her. So, my hat goes off to her time and time again. Great job even if I have to say it a thousand times. I wish someone could send a copy of this review to her boss or Allied Universal Human Resource department. I don’t feel Allied Universal knows the type of person they have on their team; she is an amazing person and leader. Today I have been under her leadership for 2 years, I went from Exterior Rover to Lead Supervisor/training supervisor, I don't think I would have made it this far but one day she seen something within me that I didn't see or believe existed in myself. Yes, she was very hard on me. if I done anything wrong, she would point it out to me and at the same time told me the reason why she said what she did. I believe that there's someone that out there that needs a gold star because her kind isn't borne like that, someone seen potential in her and took the time to mold her. IF you ever near Portsmouth, Virginia, she's probably still here, she is a true example of a leader.

I like the idea that they give people…

I like the idea that they give people jobs if they pass the background and drug test, the company pays every week and uniforms are free. The managers are ok, there is one Larry McClain who is very unprofessional. He will not relieve you if your relief does not show up. He left a post un manned one night, he talk down to people and he told me the pay was one thing and it was another, but i should have gotten it in writing, when i confronted the guy he got real mad. Very unprofessional.

Allied Barton in DC has the most…

Allied Barton in DC has the most incompetent account managers and captains i have ever worked for. How do you constantly forget to pay people for the hours that they work. you can send them a reminder email and they will still forget to enter your correct working hours. It makes me wonder if they do this on purpose. then you have an account manager that disrespects the female employees because he cant sleep with them. It's no wonder they are losing contract after contract. Get some competent account managers and supervisors.

UNFAIR AND UNCARING MANAGEMENT

After being a almost two year employee who worked my butt off everyday and showed the client how good of a company we are...when it comes to your family they dont care for you...after you tried to keep contact with them for a family emergency issue they leave you hanging and when it comes to handling your person issues after calling and texting them for weeks no one gets back to you and when you take the time you need that was planned and tried to address with them they kick you off post and leave you without work...it sucks being the only provider for your family and they kick you from you post and give you a pay decrease all because a manager left you hanging for 2 weeks....for a family emergency that was pretty urgent(My 3 month old daughter had rashes that were bleeding) and I get punished because of lack of management who said he was going to get back to me but never did but the company didnt wanna listen to me or hear me out or cared to understand....I've never been so hurt and disrespected in my 6 years of security...you lost a good and well loved employee...so much for love and care for their employees...it just honestly sucks because the manager who was supposed to help ended up getting promoted but me calling and texting 2 weeks ahead and me having to reschedule my daughter and wife's appointments to them saying I didnt call to let them know which I have proof that I did....and I constantly asked and followed up to see if anyone can cover my shift...why cant the manager who left me hanging be demoted and someone who has did everything and made their clients well happy and as well as the customers....very disappointing and very upsetting

She allowed her friends to sleep on the job be on there phones take pictures. She does drugs then comes to work! She fired me while I had covid 19. Made me come to work with covid! She wouldn’t give you a day off even when there is a medical emergency! She fired people so she can hire her friends or family. Upper management covers for her! Allied management sucks

Allied management sucks. They were over 1 month late paying me over time they owed me. I am muslim and made me shave my beard even tho I provided a certificate from the masjid. They other security officers are late and always calling out. Many of them leave their post early and unintended and Allied management knows and does not fire them. Allied is a sad excuse for security. Wish I could give them negative stars.

AUS took my cell phone, do not trust their PR

AUS is a bad company, this is the second or third time I work around them as contractor, they defame me. They took my cell phone from my truck today. They do not respect privacy laws and they have former employees in jail for causing brain injuries to a person. It is unsafe to work with around them, negligence should be AUS' middle name. They slander me with rumors of dementia. AUS has plenty of discrimination cases in different states. Please research this "insecurity" company before contracting, please trust a reference from people who have worked with them in the past. AUS took my electronic device illegally. Do not trust their PR machine.

The Tampa Office need diversification

The only problem i have with the Tampa Office is , they are racist. Everyone working in that office are white, I meet many account managers, they all white. In your site locations, white guards can worked any schedules, Day, Evenings, or nights as long you light skin. The black guards can works evenings or nights preferably nights. Thats not the same company i knew in NY.

Always problems with the payment, you fax the time shift of the site you're working and if you work 48 hours they see a 40 ,if you work 72 hours ,they see a 40 ,they always messed up your payment ,is like they're blind or they act like they're blind at purpose,i am sorry but I'm start thinking they trying to be slick with your money, because it happens to me at least 1 or 2 times in a month, when things like that happens that often like it happens in allied ,you start thinking they do it at purpose and they are really trying to steal your money ,so, anyone to work on that company ,be aware and on top of them all the time ,if you don't want to lose the money for what you work for

The worst security company ever

The worst security company ever! Do not hire them. In 4 years I called 4 times on different safety matters. Either they didn't show up, showed up long after the threat was diffused or outright neglected the call and got hung up on by untrained personnel. Wouldn't trust them with any safety issue in the future. BEWARE
