Buyer Beware - dreadful service

My organization utilizes SMTP services for reaching our subscribers with notifications and newsletters. We gave AuthSMTP a try and the deliverability was average but the customer service was dismal. Support is mainly provided by email and the communication from them was borderline insane. Buyer beware. There are much better services out there for similar price and performance with tech support that is light years ahead of AuthSMPT.

AuthSMTP solved email issues

AuthSMTP solved the issues we had with sending mail from our domain, allowed us to track delivery and took away a lot of hassle. Plus it's been faultless so not had much reason to contact support but when I have always found they responded quickly.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible
The ASN they have some of the servers on, got blacklisted due to spam coming from AuthSMTP
AuthSMTP does not answer, seem like they dont want to fix this at all.

Can't reccommend, no idea how they are still running without being taken down.

Terrible support.

Terrible support.

The support team are lazy and blames others first without thoroughly investigating what is being reported to them.

The fault was actually with AuthSMTP and we lost several days of business. Looking to switch to a new provider ASAP.

USEFUL ... If you don't need assistance.

I had been a client of AuthSMTP for many years and found their service to be helpful in ensuring that my outbound emails (along with those of my clients) reached their destination without being blocked or filtered as junk mail.

On the few occasions that I needed help when something unusual came up, their staff was adequately helpful (sometimes I had to go back and get clarifications or more information) ... but certainly not much more than 'enough to get me out of the support queue'.

Setup of each account is quite the task, generally about 30 minutes per domain to verify identity, edit the SPF record, upload a DKIM key, and ensure everything met their standards.

Our working relationship came to an end yesterday when the "support" agent refused to offer information on how to be sure the domains at my new hosting facility were routing their outbound messages through the AuthSMTP service. They claimed it's not their job to tell me how to include the AuthSMTP service in to the email flow, that I should ask my hosting company what needs to be done.
I wholeheartedly disagree. It's not the responsibility of the support staff at my Data Center to configure the setup to use AuthSMTP ... their outbound messages reach intended destinations just fine. If AuthSMTP wants me to pay them, they should be responsible for helping ensure that my clients and I can access the AuthSMTP services!

CAUTION: Don't subscribe for any more than you absolutely need to. This company doesn't refund _ANY_ advance payments - regardless of whether they deliver their promised services or not!
