ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! So utterly disappointed that 3 days past the very limited 14 day return window a member of the staff point blank refused a return. I purchased snow socks in readiness for a trip to Europe, a day before travelling the car is off the road with engine transmission issues. A legitimate return for an unused product. Any usual on-line company woudl allow 28 days return as standard.

I bought a pair of autosocks from autosockdirect.co.uk last Christmas, and I really don't know how I would have done without them, especially when I was moving house in January! Great quality product, easy to use and work amazingly - I would recommend these to anyone (great stocking fillers for Mum and Dad too!)

Simple and easy to use. Got me out of trouble a handful of times were I would've been stranded had I not had my autosocks with me! Have already recommended to friends and family. Had my own reservations about how much a cloth sock could help but they're amazing!

The past few winters we have had a lot of snow, this making travelling difficult and stressful! Especially since I have animal commitments and have to travel no matter what the weather. Travelling has become easier and less stressful due to purchasing Autosocks. I have felt much safer and never been stuck anywhere with them on. Great product would recommend to anyone that does not own a 4x4.

I have had my Autosock for two years now and there is nothing better out there for getting me up the last 300 metres from the main road to my house. In all types of snow, slush and ice quite a few people were leaving their cars down at the bottom of the hill, but not me, I just turned off the main road put the Autosock on and sailed up no problem everytime. Less than two minutes to put on and quicker to take off. The staff were great with their advice about them, recommending them as perfect for my circumstances and where I live, and at less than £50 they are a bargain!!

I was pretty sceptical of the AutoSock but I got a pair anyway as we head up every year to Scotland for snowboarding and I had crashed my car the winter previous in bad snow, £50 to avoid that is well worth it! Ordered from AutoSock Direct and they arrived the next day too which was brilliant. As expected we met some snow and I put them on as a precautionary and they were amazing! followed the huge 4x4s with massive winter tyres no problem up to Glenshee and that was on a front wheel drive car with no winter tyres just AutoSock! No problem at all, cheaper and a much easier to fit than chains....its a bit of a no-brainer to have them in your car just in case!! I've since used them driving round the Yorkshire dales too and I think everyone should have them in the boot. The weather UK wide is so changeable and it would save so many accidents when the weather turns to snow so quickly!

I live a few miles off the main road, up a single track lane. I put my Autosocks on a the bottom of the hill and left some 4wds skidding around at the bottom. My Clio sailed past the Audi Q7 and Suzuki 4x4! It's just so reassuring knowing I will be able to get home whatever the weather up north.

I live on a steep street so no gritters means I can't move the car until I got these autosocks. Very easy for me or my wife to fit. They take a couple of minutes to fit and take up minimal space in the boot.

My advice would be get them in advance. Heavy UK snow results in the whole country going mad. Most importantly the post man might not get through!

Also don't forget to rinse them in a warm bucket of water so they aren't as messy to deal with the next time. Takes 2 mins and well worth it.

I saw these in winter 2010 when a car passed by after some heavy snowfall. I live in a town where my daily commute takes me up a very steep hill and occasionally I have had to turn back due to not having enough traction to get up it, so I decided to get some. I now have no traction issues at all and I drive without the worry of getting stuck in the snow. Wish I thought of these, what a great invention!

I ordered these last year expecting a bad winter. The website was clear and easy to navigate. I simply entered my tyre size and then step by step instructions soon got me to the order confirmation page, and a few seconds later I had a confirmation email. I did manage to get to use them once on the 5th December, I probably didn't need to, but I thought it would be a good practice run. Not the cheapest snow socks on the net, but as an Audi driver I always want the best ;-)
