We rented a car for 10 days. There was a small friction with a moped, resulting in a plastic stain on the car bumper but no scratches. A plastic part on the moped was covered by the car insurance, €100. The stain on the car could be easily removed with a light polish (I have done it every now and then in similar situations). My credit card was charged €180 as"Administrative Charges" as per contract. Seven months and 0km later (!) the car was seen by an "official expert" who made an estimate of €600 for a new bumper. Together with the expert charges and the downtime (one day? 7 months?) it costed more than €720 which puts the total at €900.
My question is: How many users in those 7 months? Why was the report not made right after delivery is a well guarded secret.
What is no secret is that a minor stain - that any professional can remove in 10 minutes - costed almost a thousand.
Beware of these people and use a more honest company.

One of my best car hire experiences
One of my best car hire experiences. It can get stressful and time-consuming, but not here! Friendly and helpful man at the counter, car clean and in very good condition, explained everything. The car was in the nearby car park. Equally nice and easy when dropping the car off. Lots of petrol stations on the way to the airport too, so a generally stress-less holiday experience.

At first we were given a faulty car. A part of the front bumber was hanging loosely and hitting the road. We returned to the rental parking lot immediately and demanded to change to a driveable car. At first we were told to pay more to get a bigger car. It was an outrageous suggestion, since we did not get a driveable car in the first place. After arguing we got a similar sized car after waiting for about 30mins with the same price. In the contract it said the fuel tank was full and should have to be returned full. But as we got the car it was 7/8 full. After these experiences before we did not stay to complain about it an accepted the small loss in the fuel cost, but it left a bit of a bad taste of the whole rental process.
The car was ok and returning to Pisa airport happened very well, smoothly without any issues.
Without the issues with the first car I would have given 5 stars.
