Great product, all working as expected.

Very fast service great product

Easy to put together and look quite good ( at least where I have placed them). One problem I found was on threading the wires through the column to hide them I found some flakes of insulation from those wires. This is because the holes in the column don’t have grommets in them so you are pulling the wire through metal edged holes

AVCOM 10" Active Subwoofer, Black – Excellent control and balance

I purchased the AVCOM 10" Active Subwoofer, Black directly from AVCOM, and it turned out to be a very strong performer in its price range.

The unit has more than enough power and actually needs to be dialled back to properly integrate with the rest of the system. This is a positive, as it allows for precise tuning rather than pushing the sub to its limits.

Once set correctly, the integration is excellent. The subwoofer does not draw attention to itself – instead, it fills in the low-end naturally. When turned off, the system clearly loses depth, which confirms how well it complements the main speakers.

The bass character is smooth and controlled rather than aggressive or “boomy.” It delivers weight and presence without overpowering the mids or highs.

Another notable strength is low-volume performance. Even at modest listening levels, the bass remains present and balanced, rather than disappearing – something many subwoofers in this category struggle with.

In practical use, the sub performs strongly from around 30–35 Hz, with lower frequencies still audible but less pronounced, which is expected in this class.

Overall, the AVCOM 10" Active Subwoofer offers a well-balanced, controlled low-end that integrates easily into a system without requiring excessive output.

Based on this experience, I would be interested in exploring more of AVCOM own audio products as part of a complete setup.

Edit: Your reply suggests they had visible signs of wear. If they did then this was down to damage in transit (your courier)!

Having had previous positive purchase experiences, I thought the sell / trade in process with AV.com would also be positive.

After sending my speakers - which were in mint condition and only 6 weeks old - they have assessed them as two stages below that (Good) and reduced their offer for them. Refusing the offer would have then resulted in me having to pay another £15+ to have them returned so a total of £30+ for nothing.

Absolute rubbish.

They’ve lost a customer for good now.
