First and last time with Ava’s flowers. Sent in an order on May 4, 2026 for my sister in laws flowers for graduation for delivery to her home in Tarpon Spings. Ordered the Sweetest Surprise bouquet with wide vase and she got red, white and blue carnation-like flowers with tacky ribbons all over it, in a cheap little clear vase. Absolutely horrible, non certified florists. Looking nothing like the photo, not even close. Oder number: 14658459

This was the worse experience I’ve ever had with a florist. I had the wrong date for delivery and went through the process of editing my order. On the new delivery date they sent a Dutch of daisies, certainly not the nearly $100 bunch I ordered. Then a month later they sent my original order BUT the person I intended it for was no longer at the address (that was the reason for the change in the original order. What a waste. Customer service was non existent. I will never order from Ava’s again and I will warn others not to as well.

When I placed the order a month in advance they delivered (1) bouquet ONE that same day and not the day of my event which would have been (8) bouquets and the delivery person ignored my message stating to take the order back to the establishment, even my security told him to leave and he proceeded to leave the flowers on a table when security wasn't looking. I had to stay on the phone for over an hour to get a live person to hear my complaint and for them to understand my order once the goats could be tamed in the background (I am not kidding) Oh and when that one bouquet was delivered it looked NOTHING like the pictured and I told them at the third party who I found out that made them and they fixed that at no extra cost, I will be going directly to them, for ALL future orders and I told them that.
I show an order number of : 14517151 and a customer support # T13453531 my order was on April 21st.

I have never paid for a more mediocre and disappointing service. I ordered flowers on 06/23 after being promised they would be delivered by 7:00 PM that same day. Instead, they arrived a full day late on 06/24 at 6:40 PM.
To make matters worse, the flowers arrived damaged, the card I paid extra for was missing, and even the flower food packet that helps keep the flowers fresh was not included.
This level of service and quality is completely unacceptable. Companies that treat their customers this way are a disgrace to our community. I wasted my money and would never recommend this company to anyone.

06/07/2026 I was looking for a local florist in Stony Brook to deliver flowers to a family member in the hospital. My online search revealed Alas Flowers was located in Stony Brook. I went online, picked a bouquet, spent almost $90 and free shipping. Upon looking at the invoice there was a $26.03 fee!! I bit the bullet because it was for my relative and next day delivery. It didn’t happen. Every time I checked the tracking, it showed out for delivery. I decided to call Ava’s. Horrible. You call, push several random numbers and get a recording that says I’d receive a return call. There is no real person to speak to when you call. I played phone tag with the company. I emailed them and always received vague responses. This went on for days I finally spoke to someone and requested the bouquet be sent to my relative’s home instead. She received them June 11. I saw the photos my of the flowers. The flowers were plain and of ok quality and certainly not worth the money spent. Maybe worth $20. I’ve seen better in the grocery stores!
In the over 50 years I’ve been sending flowers across the world, the transaction with Ava’s Flowers was the most stressful experience for me. Disappointing is an understatement. I am a senior lady, recovering from 2 strokes, and did not need this aggravation. DO NOT do business with this company!! They are a scam!
By the way, this company is located somewhere in Delaware, and NJ, not Stony Brook or anywhere else on Long Island.

My expensive flower delivery never reached the recipient. I tried to call customer service, which was not possible.
Any attempts to help myself on the customer service chatbot/website ended up in a loop without results.
I want my money back but no way to even reach customer service.
Stay away from Avas flowers !!!

The flowers arrived on time and they were quite beautiful a little small for $50 basket. After you add shipping and service fees, etc. etc. they were a little overpriced for a small basket.

Orchid arrived with packaging wrapped so tight that two stems were damaged by just trying to unwrap it. Orchid died within a week. Paid nearly $100. Won't be ordering again from this company.

Beautiful arrangement. But ordering from Canada. I didn’t realize your location when I used google to find a local florists near my aunt. It ended up being very late and the flowers were not as fresh as I would have liked them to be as it took so long to get to her. They were not delivered by the expected date. They were at least 4-5 days late.

They were the smallest, worst flowers I have ever received from you. 1/2 were dead upon arrival and I could have gone into the grocery store and bought them for 20$ off their shelf. The amount I paid you for that garbage was ridiculous. I will be looking for a different flower company in the future to send my wife flowers.

Do NOT order from here the delivery was delayed and the flowers received were NOT what I ordered and a small bouquet I could have bought for 20$. Instead I spent 100$ after all fees and got a joke. Wish I could post pictures to show. AWFUL/...UPDATE: As you can see from the reply below what I am to do..however you cannot email them and their site just loops you once delivery is done. I had an extremely frustrating experience with this company and feel compelled to warn other consumers.
I placed a same-day flower order and immediately tried to contact customer service to confirm the order would be fulfilled same-day. Their phone line, however, is fully automated with no path to a live agent. After spending considerable time trying to reach someone, I looked the company up online and discovered it has a well-documented history of complaints and deceptive practices, including misrepresenting itself as a local florist when it is not. At that point, I attempted to cancel the order immediately.
Unfortunately, the cancellation button on their website functioned as an endless loop with no way to complete the action, and the phone line remained inaccessible. After submitting a callback request through their website, they eventually called me, but then the automated call placed me on hold for 20 minutes before anyone spoke with me, even though they had called me. Then, when I began requesting a cancellation, the agent hung up on me. Despite my explicit and repeated requests via email and time consuming call backs that the order not be delivered under any circumstance, it was sent anyway.
The flowers that arrived bore little resemblance to what was pictured on the website, and several were already dead upon delivery. When a representative called to follow up, they declined to issue a refund on the basis that the order had been delivered. After pushing back, they verbally agreed to a 50% refund in acknowledgment of the poor quality, but only 30% was actually returned to my account.
In total, this experience consumed approximately five hours of my time and resulted in a product that was misrepresented, unwanted, and substandard. Between the deceptive local florist branding, the deliberately obstructive customer service/cancellation process, and the refund that did not match what was promised, I would strongly caution anyone against ordering from this company.
