Do not use Avas Flowers

Do not use Avas Flowers. They are not a local florist, despite what their search engine optimization and deceptive landing pages lead you to believe. I placed an order online under the impression I was dealing directly with an established, local brick-and-mortar florist in Brigham City, Utah. Instead, the order was hijacked by Avas Flowers—a national order-broker wire service operating out of New Jersey.

Their entire business model relies on bait-and-switch tactics. They intercept your order, tack on a massive hidden $30 "service fee" at the final screen, and skim a huge percentage off the top. They then attempt to outsource the job to actual local florists for a fraction of what you paid. This leaves the local designer with a stripped-down budget, resulting in cheap substitutions or outright delivery failures when local shops rightfully refuse to take their lowball payouts.

I caught the scam and forced them to refund the $30 service fee, but the fact remains that they stole business away from the local vendor I intended to support. They are a parasitic middleman that drives up costs while degrading the quality of the final product.

Skip this predatory broker. Look up the local area code, call a real hometown main street florist directly, and keep your money out of Avas Flowers' pockets.

they never had the flowers we selected…

they never had the flowers we selected ,and substituted a buch of roses .They returned some of our costs i think $25. We will not repeat any orders

Don't use this company!!!

I placed an order for a plant to be delivered for a funeral days in advance. I paid to have the delivery dropped of before 11am EST on 6/15... Here it is 6/16 12pm EST and the plant has not been delivered. This is not the first time that this has happened. I will never use this company again. If I could have given zero stars, I would have.

Service fee was almost the same amount…

Service fee was almost the same amount as the small bouquet and when I called to cancel, there was no way to talk to anyone!!

Overall

Overall, it was a fine experience however it was a little confusing at times to get in touch with customer support. The bouquet was not the exact one that I ordered, but it was satisfactory in the end. I did receive a bit of a refund, which was helpful, and that’s where some of the confusion came in when dealing with support.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a flower for a funeral and paid for express delivery. Unfortunately the flower wasn't delivered, it took numerous times to get in contact with someone and I had to threaten to take them to small claims court to get my money back. Save yourself time and a headache and choose a more reputable company.

Overall… Disappointed

I had preordered flowers for my mother-in-law for her anniversary- the first one since my father-in-law had passed. They had a guaranteed delivery date and I paid an additional fee to ensure that they be delivered earlier in the day because she was a teacher. About halfway through the delivery date, I was notified that the arrangement I had selected was unavailable. Then, I was notified that the agreement was not going to delivered until late in the day. At this point I tried to cancel the order but was unable to. The flowers were left at the school after it had closed for the day so she did not receive them until the following day. (I was worried about what shape they would be in once she received them.) I was disappointed that on the most difficult day that she had faced since his passing, my mother in law’s delivery was untimely and I ended up purchasing flowers from another local establishment, where they were able to ensure a beautiful custom arrangement for a fraction of the price and it was completed the very moment I went into the store.

Do NOT order from Avas Flowers

Do NOT order from Avas Flowers. They failed to deliver my big order for my son’s engagement party. I requested the flowers to be delivered to a certain place, not only they delivered to wrong places, they delivered the orders on wrong days. I ordered a $15 Teddy bear, it came to a low quality small bear, like a disposable one. A dollar store bear is even better and bigger than this $15 one. The flowers missing delivery on the actual day. Their customer service though was respectful, but useless. Don’t let this flower ordering company ruined your event like they did to ours. All we got is the refund for the missing flowers, but the event was ruined by them.

Complete Bait-and-Switch

Complete Bait-and-Switch. Avoid This Company!Review:Do not trust this business. I ordered the "Festive Birthday Bouquet," which advertised premium orange lilies and yellow roses. I also paid extra for 4 additional latex balloons.What arrived was a complete downgrade: a loose, messy supermarket-style bundle wrapped in plastic containing zero lilies and zero roses. They substituted cheap yellow daisies and carnations instead, and 3 of my paid balloons were missing. To make it worse, they hit me with a hidden $28 service fee at checkout despite advertising "free delivery."When I complained, customer service trapped me in a loop of unhelpful automated calls. A representative then told me they would need to pick up the incorrect birthday arrangement from the recipient before they would even decide whether to fix their mistake. Completely unacceptable customer service and a total scam. Check the photos before you buy!

Although we received your quality feedback outside of this grace period, our goal is always to make our customers happy and to restore confidence in our service.

We would also like to address your concern regarding the service fee. This fee helps ensure the proper care, handling, and processing of each order. Some companies embed these costs directly into the price of their arrangements while also charging a delivery fee. At AVAS, we choose to keep this fee separate so customers can clearly see the full breakdown of charges before completing checkout.

Because the final total depends on factors such as delivery location, delivery date, and applicable taxes, it cannot be calculated until the required information is entered. Throughout Step 1 (Delivery Info) and Step 2 (Billing Info), customers are advised that taxes and fees will be calculated once these details are confirmed. Step 3 (“Review & Place Order”) then displays the full total, including all taxes and fees, before an order can be finalized.
