I have used the services of Avenue Heating again this year due to the excellent service last year. Chas came to service the boiler and Ellis fitted a new one, both very professional very nice guys providing again an excellent service. A shout out for Donna too who updated me all the way through the process. I would recommend this company.

When our 16 year old boiler broke down recently, Winston and Charles were quick to arrive at the property and got a new boiler installed within 36 hours of first contact despite of their busy schedule as we had our old parents at home at the time. They were the only company to respond promptly of the 3 that we had reached out to. Job was completed professionally and safely. Donna on the phone & email was efficient and gave us regular updates. Their SMS updates with live engineer location feed is reassuring. We are very happy with the service received and would continue to use them for the annual servicing. We scheduled a boiler service visit with Avenue Heating. Chas appeared on time and ready to go to work. He was fast, efficient and, as far as I know, did an excellent job. We’ll certainly book Avenue Heating next year.

I reached out to get a quote to repair/service my underfloor heating. I agreed to a visit at the cost of £144. This initial visit was cancelled on the engineers request. The rescheduled visit happened and I was given an approximate quote by mouth of around £1200. I understand that this would be an guesstimate.

I was happy with this and paid the visit charge later that day or the following day with the preconception that I would go ahead with the full works. I was promised a formal quote by email in the coming days but I didn't hear anything. When I chased it up only then was I contacted a few days later to request that I pay my visit fee which I had already paid. This did not fill me with confidence to be honest. I was then sent a quote for the work which was nearly 4 times what I was told it would be. I understand that it might have been more than the guesstimate but not £4,400 from a £1,200 estimate. I contacted the engineer and asked why it was so different and he promised to send me a new quote with cheaper/alternative parts in a few hours but that quote never arrived and that's the last I heard of the matter even after a few chasers.

I am not a someone who causes a fuss but I do feel like I have been priced out just to get my visit fee of £144 for a 5 minute visit. I also had shared many photos of the parts etc and the engineer wasn't here that long and didn't seem to learn much more from the visit that he didn't already know from the photos.

I have since gone with another local company who quoted me a fraction of the price quoted by the engineer for the same work which made me feel even worse about the money I lost for the visit.

This is my first time to do the combi boiler service. Charles turned up at the mention time and he wore the shoe cover as well. He explained everything about the boiler and why he needed to test different parts. He has a very good attitude for his job.

First time using this company they were very helpful on the phone very polite engineer, attended within the hour an excellent service.

We have 3 showers and were unable to obtain any cold water from any of them. A firm we found from the internet visited and said we needed either new pipes
(cost £2800 plus VAT) but suggested we have a new tank and pipes £8200 plus VAT). Written estimates supplied
I requested a second opinion from Avenue Heating and Ellis resolved the problem within 15 minutes.
One of the watering monitor valves on our cold water tank supplied by Leaksafe had switched itself off.
Thankyou Ellis and Winston for saving us either £3360 or £9840.

My elderly mother discovered a severe water leak under her kitchen sink, and unfortunately being a Saturday, we tried numerous plumbers who could not attend before we tried Avenue Heating. Emma in the office answered and said she would contact Winston and ring me back. We then received a call directly from Winston who said he was on way. In a nutshell we were extremely pleased with the service and all has now been put right. Thank you Winston and team.

yet again Winston and his team (especially Winston himself!) solve a big problem for us. Mystery heating fault took some finding, turned out to need a new attic tank; challenging over a bank holiday weekend. With a deadline, Winston went the extra hundreds of miles to get heating and hot water back in action. As I am organising this from a distance, a trustworthy, competent and pleasant engineer is worth every penny of their reasonable rates. Problem solved in time, lots of information provided and also another minor issue spotted which they will sort. Beyond wonderful -thank you.

I phoned in the morning and Jack arrived within the hour. He found the problem and agreed he could return the following week and replace what was necessary. He was efficient, helpful and very pleasant as was the company owner who called to check I was satisfied. My only concern was the agreed charge was expensive as I did not opt to pay by the hour. However, problem solved and I will happily use them again.

All the staff are very helpful right off the block. Charles was with me within about an hour. Super professional,efficient,trustworthy and informative. The staff make or break a business and the management team should be extremely proud. High calibre staff this must be the most efficient and professional company I have had contact with in a long time. Highly recommend as you can be sure of excellent help by real people. We are really pleased with the work that Jack Woods completed for us. He worked very tidily and efficiently and was friendly too. Would definitely recommend.
