Concerns over conduct - book wisely
I’m genuinely shocked by my experience with Avis Studios. After initially booking a photographer for my wedding over a month ago and paying the deposit, I discovered yesterday, only when I reached out to confirm a consultation, that my booking had been cancelled as the photographer had moved.
When I raised this as a breach of contract I was met with an extremely rude, unprofessional, and offensive email response from a representative of the studio. The message included condescending remarks, an inappropriate racial reference regarding pricing in other countries. I had no intention of making a complaint or seeking action for the breach of contract until these comments were made.
This has been an incredibly disappointing interaction with a company booked for such a special occasion. I would strongly urge others to consider carefully before working with Avis Studios. It is possible this is an isolated incident. However, professionalism and basic courtesy should be the baseline in any service industry, especially for something as important and personal as a wedding.
