Bought a Viltrox 27mm f1.4 lens from AVM recently and very impressed. The lens is high quality and extremely sharp. It was also cheaper from AVM than pretty much any other UK seller (sometimes by a lot). The service was also very good, especially for a small company. Quick delivery, well packed, good communication. Would highly recommend if you're wanting a Viltrox lens!

Only weird thing is I ordered from 'viltroxstore.co.uk' rather than AVMphoto which seems to be the same brand. There are more positive reviews for the latter online. I'm not sure if there's a way to connect the two so people aren't put off by the lack of reviews for viltroxstore. More people should know about this company providing such a great service!

Delivered in jiffy bag (not even a bubble one) and clearly had damaged the lens elements, nightmare back and forth emailing (even though I'd returned it same day with my own postage) and being made to feel like a liar, promised a refund on Mon, by Fri turns out that was a lie and wasn't issued, had to contact eBay in the end and get refund from them as trying to communicate with him in email he belittled me.
Update: since my review he's been harassing me with email and even called me on a Sunday Morning at 9.30 trying to get me to remove the review. Guys just digging a hole.

The above review is utter garbage. The lens was sent securely packed in a jiffy bag. We have sent thousands of smaller lenses this way with no issue. After the buyer raised this as a concern we reflected on his comments and agreed that perhaps we should be sending all lenses in boxes and have now implemented that. With regards his comments about calling him a liar, this again is completely untrue. The buyer totally misunderstood our comments. In our correspondence we stated that we hadn't had any issues with the lens in question (which we haven't), so were surprised. We were certainly not calling him a liar. With regards contacting eBay, the buyer sent the item back but did not follow the process on eBay, so it didn't flag up and we were unable to refund. Yes there was a slight delay but only because we didn't receive any notifications from eBay. If the buyer had actioned correctly, this would have been avoided. Once we notified him that he hadn't followed the process, he took action and we refunded immediately. In terms of his nasty, vindictive comments about harassment these are totally untrue. On seeing his review, we emailed the buyer a very polite courteous email asking if he would reconsider and said we felt the review was unfair for the reasons given above. Due to the seriousness of his claims, when we received no reply, we called his contact number to again ask very politely if he would reconsider. He was rude, swore, hung up the phone and updated his review. We pride ourselves on providing the best possible service and that's why we have exemplary feedback on all platforms. It's also distressing reading the above comments when we work so hard to try to provide the best possible service to all our customers. I cannot quite believe that based on the facts, the buyer would be so nasty and vindictive to leave this review. Fortunately all our clients are amazing, so we have never had this before and its a complete one off from obviously an angry individual. All I will say to the buyer is that your comments are bad karma and what comes around goes around. We need more love in the world!

i have purchased lenses from AVM Photo before and was extremely happy. Recently purchased Viltrox 27mm 1.2 and again product is excellent and customer service is second to none. Would have no hesitation in recommending AVM Photo. I just have to save up to purchase Viltrox 75mm 1.2 from them!!
