I was purchasing a present for my sister and had left it a bit late! Sarah sent a fabulous birthday email so I could give this on the day. My sister really liked the shelves and they look great in her hallway. So much better to buy presents on our high street where you get personal service.

Justin & Sarah offer high quality furniture at a sensible price level.
Their knowledge is second to none regarding furniture and related products.
My wife and I felt fully supported and well advised without any pressure to make a purchase.
We did complete purchase and would not hesitate to visit their showroom in the future.

We are delighted with the table and chairs that we received last week -- ideal for our needs and look exactly as we had hoped in our kitchen. We had to wait longer than expected for the delivery but as it happens, this wasn't a problem for us.

I had a very good experience buying my sofa and I love it

Absolutely dreadful experience. Given up after 6 months of waiting with every single promised “we will be receiving your goods” never met. Have instructed our bank to claw back our money. Never experienced such poor customer service bearing in mind we had spent just short of £2000. Not good enough

We had moved into a period cottage in Shoreham and, after much renovating of the property, we wanted to finish off the living room with real quality sofa and chairs. As we had recently discovered Awen Furniture in Steyning, and had bought some choice items from them, we decided to order a Walcot Sofa and Chairs. It was clear from the display items in the shop that these were of a high quality and so, after deciding on colour of fabric, we went ahead with our purchase. When the furniture arrived, we were not disappointed - both the sofa and chairs were beautifully made and supremely comfortable. From the look, the colour, the fabric, the craftsmanship, the finish and the overall design everything ticked those boxes. We had looked at larger chains and could not find what we wanted and so were really pleased that we discovered this shop. We shall be going back, hopefully to purchase other quality items. Ordered a sofa from these people back in Sept 24. The guy in the shop crossed out the 8 - 10 week delivery date printed on the invoice and wrote 10 - 12 weeks instead. This brought the new delivery date to mid Dec. However, he then went on to explain that we might not see it before Christmas. We in turn told him that wasn't a problem and didn't necessarily want it before Christmas anyway and so agreed that January would be fine. January came and we heard nothing about our order. The one thing we did notice was that the same sofa was now in their January sale. We contacted them regarding passing the sale price onto us as it was quite obvious we weren't going to see our sofa until at least February.
They were quite accommodating with this request and gave a 10% discount on our order. We received an update near the end of Jan saying that their manufacturers were suffering delays to production and then another in early Feb saying that the unit would be received by their delivery company by w/e 28th Feb! They also stated that they required the remaining balance to be paid which we did immediately so as not to add to anymore delays.

After numerous phone calls and emails to them spanning March, April and May requesting when we might see our sofa, the unit finally arrived 8th May, so more than 32 WEEKS (over 7 months) from ordering OR 20 WEEKS LATE!
So what started out as an exciting (and quite expensive) purchase from seemingly a classy shop in Steyning turned into a complete nightmare and with the benefit of hindsight wouldn't have gone anywhere near had we known what was coming.

We recently moved into a new Barn style home, and visited Awen to choose some new furniture and to discuss curtains/blinds for our home. We have some very large windows and some awkward shapes. Sarah was outstanding from start to finish and offered many ideas that we used to great effect throughout the house. The blinds and curtains all matching look amazing. Sarah was outstanding, thank you. The shop is also fully of goodies that we regularly buy, great ideas, super furniture.

Justin and Sarah went above and beyond in making sure we have our new beautiful sofa before Christmas, thank you both very much, we highly recommend you.

Sarah and Justin were super helpful. They came and measured our front door as we'd been worried that the sofa wouldn't fit through. They were happy to coincide the delivery with the day that our front door was being replaced. We are exceptionally happy with the new sofa 🛋 😀

We've purchased numerous items from Sarah and Justin since discovering their shop in Steyning and are never disappointed. They manage to stock a fantastic range of items to suit most budgets and really go the extra mile to ensure the service is friendly and professional.
As can be the case with furniture, we experienced damage on an item being delivered, but this was handled exceptionally well. At one point, Justin even came to the house with cabinet maker bag of tricks to help get an item in a nice way whilst we were waiting on the arrival of the replacement.
We really cannot recommend them highly enough

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Justin and the team at Awen for the exceptional service we received when purchasing our new console table. Justin made us feel so welcome when we called into the showroom, quickly understood what we were looking for, introduced us to some different options and styles and then sourced the table for us to our chosen style. Within less than two weeks the table was delivered and assembled in our home by Awen and we are absolutely delighted with the quality and the service we have recieved - cannot be faulted.

I try to use local companies when I can, but I wouldn't have thought of using a small furniture shop to buy a sofa... but so glad I did. I had looked at DFS, and SCS and all the other places with year round sales, but couldnt find what I wanted. I went in to AWEN on the off chance, and found the right kind of sofa. After a good consultation with Sarah, I found the perfect size, and the right colour from a myriad of swatches. Its made of hardwood, instead of chipboard and dust like IKEA and DFS, and was only a little more expensive than the big chains. For that extra, I have a quality product, and great service. Worth every penny

The proprietors of AWEN were a great help when it came to matching colours, textiles and furniture.
They have good taste and a great deal patience as I’d been in numerous times before without buying anything.
I can’t speak more highly of them and am perhaps needless to say very satisfied with my furniture.
