Axel Springer - Silences Dissent (1 star)

Axel Springer claims to value freedom and democracy, but fired a young employee for simply questioning their unwavering support for Israel. Kasem Raad, a Lebanese immigrant, was harassed and ultimately terminated after asking about the company's stance on a sensitive topic. This is not how a free and open press operates. If you're looking for a company that upholds its stated values, avoid Axel Springer.
