Stay away from Axos Bank!
I opened a heloc with Axos Bank for $200K in Dec 2025. Trying to get funds wired from the account was a nightmare. The bank's website does not work most of the time. Customer service was a nightmare. I wanted to payoff a balance and close the account in June 2026, because of all the problems. As part of a real estate closing with a different bank, the closing attorney asked for a payoff statement. No responses. I asked for it, assured it would be expedited, no response, ever. When I tried to pay off the balance on July 3rd, and it did not appear that the payment had gone through, I repeated it three times. The next day I checked with my bank, and all three payments had gone through, for an overpayment of $397,356. I called immediately and was told the overpayments would be refunded in 2 or 3 days. After 11 days with no refund, I called and was told that I would need to request a payoff statement, even though the balance was $0. Once the payoff statement was created and I paid whatever small amount of interest might have accrued, then the overpayment would be refunded, but not until then. I'm still waiting. They will not allow me to speak to a manager about this issue! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AXOS BANK!!

I like Rudransh, but your online banking & app really needs ASAP improvement.
I am very satisfied with the customer service provided by Rudransh; he was extremely patient in helping me transfer funds from my checking account to my savings account. Thank you, Rudransh!
I strongly recommend that Axos Bank improve its online banking system as soon as possible, particularly the performance of the mobile app. The current system is far too slow, requiring a wait of several minutes for a response after every click.

Difficult to understand & not a great phone connection
My customer service person was helpful but unfortunately we didn't have a good connection AND I had a hard time understanding her.
My previous high-yield savings was with Jenius.

Above and beyond customer service
I reached out this afternoon to customer service for assistance in obtaining specific paperwork for my vehicle purchase. Later that evening I received the documents that I had requested.
In my eyes that is what I consider above and beyond excellent customer service. I want to thank Jada for the prompt response to this matter and the quick resolution to it.

Refund of "Stop Payment Charge"
I requested my agent Tabinda to refund the "Stop Payment Charge" because I had canceled the "Stop Payment" on a check previously.
Tabinda refunded the "Stop Payment Charge" due to goodwill, and that really made my day! I was joyful for the good customer service and kindness that Tabinda showed me that day.
