Back pain is confusing. Most people get handed the same generic stretches everyone else gets, or a long list of movements they're suddenly afraid to do. Back Again Assessments was built to change that. You start with a structured online assessment about your pain and how your back behaves day to day. From your answers, we identify your specific back pain pattern. You then get a custom rehab program matched to that pattern, along with clear, evidence-based education so you actually understand what's going on with your back. Back Again was created by Dr. Mitch Whittal, who holds a PhD in spine biomechanics and spent years researching how the spine handles load and how factors like inflammation contribute to tissue damage. The whole program is delivered online, so you can work through your assessment and your plan at your own pace, wherever you are. No clinic waiting rooms. No rushed ten-minute appointments. If you've ever been told to "just rest" or "just stay active" without anyone explaining why, this is the opposite of that. You'll understand your pattern, and you'll have a plan that fits it.

Self serve program

I tried the self serve program and I was impressed with how intuitive and thorough the questionnaire was, as well as how my targeted plan has been working! Definitely worth it!
