Received a phone today but wouldn't… wouldn't turn on

Received a phone today but wouldn't turn on. I always wanted to cancel this order but still they dispatched the item. The phone is on fast charge since past one hour but wouldn't turn on.

Underwhelmed with experience

Underwhelmed with experience. Apple Watch itself was less than fair condition as advertised, multiple scratches around watch face would make me rate it as poor. The sending to Queensland took ages for what was meant to be from Melbourne. It arrived with black band but invoice clearly said it would be red as per photo. Initially I emailed them but no response. Then I used the message system on their website which took days n days for a reply which merely said they’d contact seller. Wait some more days n days to hear there was a red band offered by seller but aluminium not sport band. I accepted offer. More days n day go by then get message they’d send me $40 not a red band but it would take days n days. First time I’ve dealt with these guys and it’s the last …I’ve used phonebot, Oz mobiles multiple times and had excellent service from both so would recommend them as more reliable. The one step removed from actual seller makes this site shonky.

So I was completely scammed by back…

So I was completely scammed by back market, I wasn’t even sent a phone. Instead I was sent some cheap plastic bracelet. When I’ve tried to contact back market I have been ignored.

5/5 Highly Recommend

I ordered an Ipad case for almost a tenth of the price of anywhere else. The website is easy to navigate and clear descriptions of the items they offer. They offered secure payments and my item was delivered supper fast. A really great place to find what you're looking for at a better price level!

Replacing my husband’s 8-year-old phone

We hadn’t thought before buying my husband a reconditioned mobile. He was a little apprehensive about the process but having had reviews from other buyers, we decided to go ahead.
The phone arrived and he was immediately impressed how easy it was to use and what a great thing to update his phone. I also bought my teenage grandchild a phone to replace the iPhone 15 that she broke whilst it’s only an iPhone 12 still does job and she’s very happy. Back Market site was straightforward and easy to navigate. Making the process easy to purchase , then took a few days in the phone arrived. Good experience for everyone.

DO NOT BUY FROM BACK MARKET

DO NOT BUY FROM BACK MARKET – WORST PURCHASE EXPERIENCE EVER

I recently bought an iPhone 12 from Back Market, and it was an absolute disaster from the moment it arrived. Despite paying extra for a “Premium” grade phone, what I received was anything but.

Right out of the box, the phone was barely functional – it took hours to charge and the battery drained in minutes. The system didn’t even recognise the battery or display, which is a major red flag. Just one week later, the screen went completely black.

When I contacted Back Market for a refund or replacement, they refused—all because the back glass was “shattered”… from falling once on grass. Yes, grass.

So, I was forced to pay almost $200 out of pocket to replace the screen, only to be told by the technician that the original screen was the cheapest, lowest-quality knockoff they’d ever seen. Again, this was supposed to be a premium device.

Not long after, I received a critical error message from settings saying the battery was faulty. The next day, the phone wouldn’t charge past 1%, and when it randomly did, it would shut off every 5 minutes.

Another technician told me they regularly see Back Market phones with these same problems, and that even replacing the battery wouldn’t guarantee the phone would work again. I was advised it would be more worth it to buy a whole new phone.

I’m a 14 year old student working three jobs just to afford this phone, and now I’m left with a useless piece of junk, no refund, and no support.

Back Market sold me a broken, low-quality, overpriced phone and then completely abandoned responsibility when it failed. I feel ripped off, and I don’t want anyone else going through what I did. Save your money. Avoid Back Market at all costs.
