Scam
Scam. Not cedar and rough factory pine - DO NOT BUY it’s a complete scam.
Not the product I ordered
Not the product I ordered . A poorly made imatation.None of the e.mail addresses, phone numbers for contact do not seem to exist. Tracking numbers given for GPO did not exist and it was delivered by a private company who did not call me back with any help tracking the company who supplied it.There was no product information leaflet of any kind which was advertised as how to use for the health of the hedgehog.I didn't know of Trust Pilot being 78yrs old ,little computing skills and being dyslexic.
Ido not normally buy on line but was taken in by such detail of the designer and maker and all safety aspects given .
I would give these scammers a 0 score…
I would give these scammers a 0 score if I could. Goods aren't what are advertised. Supposedly artisan made in the UK but from China. I emailed to request a return and refund and they offered 25% discount to keep them. I said no but for a nearly £70 purchase it has just cost me £28 to return to Hong Kong. Also the return address they gave me is different to that stated in their return policy so not sure where this will end up. I should have done my homework first but it's not until you've completed a purchase that you find out it's China based. Stay clear!!!
Beware of Backroad Goods SCAM site!
. Back road Goods is a big SCAM site Buyer beware!!! They disguise as are a genuine family Tasmanian Hand Craft Shed. I stupidly fall for their trap when I saw online a lovely hand crafted Sheep Tote bag by Noelene. I paid $87.00. I ordered via " Shop, Shopify" Once I put my details in I received a suspicious scam SMS . I wasnt sure whether to open. June was asking if my address was a home and was this my first purchase. Then tried to upsell me more items but I refused.Once they had my money I could no longer connect to see my order on Shop. The business is not in Australia. My bank account was charged additional fees for O/S transaction. It showed Backroad Goods UK.I have read other reviews where the goods are cheap and nasty and nothing as seen or described
on their Website.
Update I did receive a bag but it is printed fabric. It is small and not handed crafted as described in their Ad.It is cheap rubbish not worth more than $6.00AUD.My bank will be informed of this SCAM.
Do not buy from this Company
Do not buy from this Company, sell rubbish at high prices with craftsmanship stories. Buyer beware, I have learnt.
Not exact ordered item Received
I did receive a product (basket) but not the handmade basket in the order I placed.
I received a machine quilted basket. Same images though. Definitely not the handmade basket in the story at all. A mass produced knock off.
THEY’RE BACK - this time disguised as Betty the little old Grandma from the Yorkshire Dales
THEY’RE BACK ! …. Warning these scammers are back. This time masquerading as Betty the 62-year-old Grandma from the Yorkshire Dales. What a This time masquerading as Betty the 62-year-old Grandma from the Yorkshire Dales. What a group of scammers . And somewhere in the UK there’s a person writing believable stories about a grandma who’s about to retire from her sewing barn in the Yorkshire Dales. It’s the same old cheap baskets shipped from China. They are not quilted they are cheaply printed. I ordered two got them and after a considerable fight where they offered discounts, I got my money back..
You’d laugh because the return address for these goods to the little old lady working out of a sewing barn in Wesleydale/Yorkshire Dales is ….

What a farce !
I’ve been had
Waiting over two weeks for Reg’s hedgehog house to be delivered allegedly from Devon. More like China. Originally given a Royal Mail tracking number. It has been created by Backroads but no goods have been received by Royal Mail. I have attempted to get my money back but was told that I only had one day to cancel. This runs contrary to UK law for online transactions. All attempts at engagement since then have been met by silence. I will now have to use the charge back route with my credit card company. This outfit are scammers. Do not use them. Finally good old Reg who hand makes these houses has in his mid 70s suddenly relocated to Shropshire where he has no doubt started up again. Beware and avoid.
Do not buy from this company
Do not buy from this company
Its a scam
Waste of time reporting to Google they dont want to know
Bought a hedgehog house for ninety pounds
Didn't arrive
I didn't read reviews until after I purchased the product
Silly me but lesson learned
Bought two items
They lied about the item descriptions. When asked for refund, they gave two options. 1. Full refund if items are returned to Hong Kong (I pay the shipping fees) or 2. 25% refund if items are not returned. Don't buy from them. If you did, go to the Credit Card company. I got full refund
Did not receive the bee hotel I…
Did not receive the bee hotel I expected. Obviously not the product in the article as the workmanship is not up to scratch - very disappointed & angry.

Cute witch light advertised as "craft art piece" so ordered 4 for gifts.
Received cheap mass produced resin version and 3 of 4 Received broken.
Big rip off! This is Spam sight for sure.
So far my product hasn't arrived and I…
So far my product hasn't arrived and I am now doubting it will. I fell for the story of a dear widow making beaded bags and how she was no longer making them in her home on our South West Coast of Victoria in Australia.
It read as a genuine story and idiot me decided to buy one. In the meantime, whenever I go into their website to find out when I will be receiving the bag, the Error 400 comes up. I have resigned myself to losing $60. It could have been worse.
Backroad Goods is a scam operation
Backroad Goods is a scam operation. Fake Ai made up stories to lure you in to thinking you're doing something good for our bees. DO NOT purchase anything from this site. You will receive cheap junk sent from Asia that will be nothing like what you ordered. You will not get a refund you may be offered 25% and have to return the dodgy Asian junk.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND STEER CLEAR OF BACKROAD-GOODS
Noeleen's hand quilted sheep basketes
I saw on a news show on Aussie t.v. about Noeleen a quilter in Tasmania who was now retiring and was selling her hand made quilted sheep laundry baskets. I googled her and had to order them through the website Back Roads. What I received was cheap massed produced printed fabric on the outside of the baskets, they were not quilted at all. Asked Back Roads for a refund and had to send them to Hong Kong, the website says posted from Australia. This will be very expensive and I was first offered a 25% refund, on complaining again & again was offered 35% then 50%. I only ordered them because I saw them not on a commercial but a genuine news show. I have obviously been scammed.
I purchased having seen a local craft…
I purchased having seen a local craft seller. It’s a complete lie and it’s a cheap fraudulent Chinese site. Absolutely 100% a con
DO NOT BUy from this set of criminals
They're pulling at your heart strings...
Cliffs lamp has no wood associated with it. They tell a story of a tree falling down and the base of the lamp being made from this wood. Would've been nice however, the lamp is all hard plastic. Disappointed. Certainly not worth the money I paid.
Awful
Awful, what a waste of money. Should have read reviews before ordering ! I ordered a rain drum, arrived after 2 weeks wait, SO disappointing. It’s tiny, absolute rubbish and so expensive for what you receive. If I saw it in a shop I wouldn’t buy it and would expect it to sell for about £3 as a novelty. Total rip off. Oh well, we learn from our mistakes. Just hope people read this and do not buy.
Oh no !
Oh no !
I just ordered 3 ,yes 3 ,butterfly boxes.
How could I have been so stupid.......
This is a scam
This is a scam. The product is made in Hong Kong. If you decide to return it it must be sent to Hong Kong and you pay and get a 30% refund. Don't buy it or believe the story.
