This mattress is pricey, but so far, it does support the back. I wish now I had bought the Series 3, as I need more cushion for my hips as a side sleeper. However, I put my old tempurpedic topper atop it, and it works well. The support from foot to head is solid. I have no complaints about that. It's only 3 months old, so there are no dips in it. My husband, a back sleeper, is happy with it and says it is comfortable.

I had an all latex mattress and my back pain was so severe that it was difficult to walk when I got out of bed in the morning. After two weeks with my back science mattress, it is a night and day difference. Most of my morning pain is gone, and I can actually function when I get out of bed.

Before discovering Back Science, Denise and I had tried multiple other beds and adjustable bases over the last few weeks, hoping to find the right fit for our needs. Great quality mattress but it does not work miracles to cure back pain. After a few months on it, I need to consult with them to see if they think any modifications would be helpful for me.

This is a very comfortable mattress. But more than that, the manufacturer, customer service reps, and overall purchasing experience makes it worthwhile. I know that if there are any changes that need to be made to firmness level, they will be able to accommodate. I like the Greenguard Gold certification. If you are in the L.A. area, I recommend heading to Ultrabed where I purchased it, because you can try out all kinds of brands, and still probably pick the Back Science homemade brand. Dr. Rick and his team are very helpful. Great for reducing back pain, and overall support. Nice contour to my body. Nice balance between my sleeping preferences and my wife's, so good for couples. I'm not as good at judging how hot or cool it sleeps, so you'll have to check someone else's review for that. Overall, very satisfied.

The mattress is great. It is softer than I expected but that is not a complaint. I've only slept on it for a couple of nights so I can't say if it will give long term improvement for my back (the weather has a big effect that is not predictable) but so far it has given me very good sleep each night. Other than the shipping delay (because of the LA fires) the prompt helpful service was excellent.

The bed a HUGE upgrade from our previous mattress (Purple mattress). I am almost 9 month pregnany and we needed a bed that was soft but provide support for my pregnany as well as post partum. My husband and I like two different types of beds - I like more firm and my husband really like a softer mattress. This mattress has been great for both of us, providing us with the support and comfort that we are looking for in a mattress.

My husband has severe back pain. After going through 4 different Saatva mattresses and over $6,000, we discovered Back Science. Rick, the chiropractor who started the company, met with us, went over all my husband's back issues and heard his specific needs (extra firm support, extra side support so the bed couldnt sink when he sat on the side, allergies to bamboo, etc. etc....), looked at him lying down, and then they designed and made him the perfect bed. We asked for two changes when the bed was first delivered; they took the bed away, remade it perfectly for him, brought a new one, no extra charge. For the first time in years my husband wakes up without being in tears from pain. He is a back sleeper, I am a side sleeper, and it works for both of us. This company is the real deal, not advertising hype like Saatva, who I am still livid about. We love our bed! Strongly recommend Back Science and especially Rick the owner and his great team, all were very nice and really wanted to make sure we were happy with our purchase. BEST BED EVER

It's been a few weeks since getting our Series 2 and my back is already significantly better waking up every morning. The feel of the bed is very comforting and soft yet supportive which is exactly what you want in a bed. Aside from the feel of the bed, the fact that the interior construction is customizable and layers can be swapped out if you ever feel you need more firmness or softness in areas is amazing and far less waste than changing an entire mattress. Being more eco friendly in that aspect is a huge plus on top of it all. Glad we found it.
