This is an embarrassing review to write…

This is an embarrassing review to write as shaving is such a simple act to do.

This website gets lots of wonderful mentions in the online communities for some reason. Perhaps its because people have low expectations for it.

This is two websites in one. One dealing with vintage items, and the other dealing with MODERN items.

When it comes to vintage shaving items, razor, soap, blades, etc its not a bad source of information. You do get the rabid fan boyism on some brands, and you have to tread carefully as every sub forum has its own 2-3 moderators that have the power to

1. CHANGE anything said in a post made in that persons sub forum. Meaning if you say something THEY dont agree with, well your post will be changed to agree with THEIR view point.

2. DELETE user accounts on the website when they dont think you will change your opinion to follow with theirs.

The MODERN item end of the website is essentially a paid commercial. You are allowed to give glowing reviews on an item or product, BUT if the website gets money from the maker of that item, your negative post will be altered into a glowing review, or at best a "mixed review".

If you say ANYTHING bad about a company that advertises on this website your account is deleted within 2 hours. No exceptions.

It seems saying anything bad about a paid advertise constitutes a violation of the "anti bullying" and "no spamming" sections of the user agreement.

Even saying that a paid advertising company sent you a broken item and refused to replace it will get you a deleted account.

The website has a large review section that is truly worthless. The moderators are allowed to alter and delete ANY content in their respective product categories at their personal whim. SO if you used a brand of shaving cream for a month, and put a bad review on it. And that moderator LOVES it, the review YOU made will be changed into a glowing review and LOCKED from being altered by YOU.
Complaining about it, and making a new review got me banned for "no spamming allowed"
