The honey is excellent quality

The honey is excellent quality – really pure and natural. The one with black seed is especially good, both in taste and benefits. You can tell a lot of care goes into the products. On top of that, the customer service was great: friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. Highly recommended!

Disappointed – Faulty Honey and Poor Customer Service

>>> AVOID >>> AVOID >>> POOR QUALITY >>> EXTRA POOR SERVICE >>> CAUTION >>>
I’ve been buying and consuming raw honey for over 40 years, and I ordered several jars from Balqees back in April. Two jars were perfectly fine, but the Raw Black Seed Honey Fusion developed visible mould, a fermented smell, and was completely inedible — something I have never seen happen with honey.
All jars were stored in the exact same place and conditions, so it was clearly a faulty product or contaminated batch.
When I contacted customer service, instead of offering a simple replacement or refund for one jar, they insisted it was “just crystallisation” (it wasn’t) and then suggested I should pay for an independent microbiological report — which would cost more than the honey itself. Completely unreasonable.
I even offered to send the jar back at their expense so they could check it themselves, but they refused to help.
Overall, very disappointed with how the issue was handled. A genuine quality issue should be dealt with professionally, not dismissed. I will be forwarding the matter to Trading Standards for review. I would like to add photos showing the mould.

This order was placed nearly 7 months before the issue was raised, which means we cannot verify how the jar was stored, handled or whether any moisture may have entered after opening. At that stage we cannot assume a product fault or issue an automatic refund.

From the initial photos, what you described appeared consistent with natural crystallisation, which can create white or uneven patches in raw honey. We advised gently warming the jar to return it to liquid and reassess the appearance and smell. Instead you requested that a staff member consume honey from your jar - something we cannot do for food-safety reasons.

Raw honey does not grow mould, and we have never had a confirmed case in any batch. All batches are independently lab-tested, and no other customer from that batch has reported an issue. After such a long period, the only way to confirm spoilage would be a microbiological test.

We always replace or refund genuine issues reported within a reasonable timeframe, but in this case the claim couldn’t be verified due to the long delay and lack of evidence.
