229$ shoes didn't last 6 months
I bought black vegan shoes to work at a restaurant from this brand. Usually, if I spend this much money, the shoes are going to last minimum one year, hopefully longer. The wildest thing I was doing with them is walking, nothing crazy.
The left seam in the front of the left shoe started opening 4 months in. After barely 6 months in, the front piece of the left sole is almost coming off. I can't believe I paid 229$ for such a poor quality product! Never again!

Poor Product Quality and Inadequate Customer Support
I encountered significant quality issues with shoes from Be Lenka/Barebarics. All four pairs I purchased had defects in the adhesive bonding of the soles right after buying them. When I contacted customer service, I was offered the option to repair the shoes at my expense with subsequent reimbursement or to accept a modest 15% refund. However, shoes that fall apart immediately after purchase should not require repair, nor should they be discounted by just 15%.
Concerns about the reliability of refurbished shoes led me to request a full refund and return the shoes. Ultimately, my claim was rejected under the pretext of warranty conditions that include damage allegedly caused by improper handling. This accusation was unfounded, as the problem stemmed from the initial manufacturing quality.
I hope my case is the result of a misunderstanding or mistake by the staff, not an attempt to deceive a customer. The European Union has all the necessary tools to protect consumer rights, and I expect a fair resolution.
The story of my fair attempt to get a refund continues, and I will update my reviews as it progresses.

Upon reviewing the status of your order, it has come to our attention that you declined our initial offer to address a claim with the shoes upon delivery and opted to use them instead. According to our Terms and Conditions, it is the responsibility of the buyer to report any defects in the merchandise to the seller promptly upon discovery. Your first complaint was received after a span of 1.5 years, and it has been evaluated by our complaints department.
We are very sorry to inform you, that the extent of the damage was unfortunately so significant that repair was not possible. The customer is obliged to claim any detected defect immediately and with no delay so that the defect does not increase.
Customer feedback is very important to us and allows us to improve our processes and bring you better products and services in the future.
We understand that the complaint process can be frustrating for you, and we will certainly look for ways to make it more customer friendly.

After 57 Year, Relief for My Feet!
Have had a problem all my life with shoes hurting my feet -- couldn't get them "wide" enough, or so I thought. Every chance I could get I took off my shoes to let me feet "relax." My daugher suggested "barefoot" shoes that are shaped like your foot and not like a foot-binder. I was skeptical but ordered some Barebarics High Tops. The minute I put them on, I loved them. I am 57 and this is the first time I can remember wearing shoes all day without my feet aching. Also, my back has improved -- the zero-drop feature changes my posture somehow that makes my back not hurt. What I always took for granted in shoes is apparently untrue. Why all shoes are not barefoot shoes is beyond me. These high tops look nice, feel great, and appear to be very sturdily constructed. I'm a convert. Can't believe it took me 57 years to find relief!
