First time installing wooden flooring
First time installing wooden flooring. Barham were recommended by friends and we are really pleased we chose them. Very helpful advice choosing the floor. Easy measurement and exactly the correct amount of flooring arrived very promptly. Floors easy to lay and look great. Only been down for 3 months but really happy with them. Had some extra bits to order and Barham very helpful and prompt with the extras.

Amazing floor.
I wholeheartedly recommend this company. They were most helpful, they provided an excellent personal service and were very helpful when I needed to change my delivery dates. Most of all, my new floor looks absolutely spectacular.

Engineered Oak at good price and wuality
We ordered the dark engineered Oak at Ideal home show, we said we weren’t ready to receive the flooring for couple of months, they kept our order until we were ready and supplied when we needed it. I was able to talk to their fitter for advise and pricing to fit it.
I decided to fit it myself having most of the tools , had to buy 6 clamp down straps, most straps come in 4 meter length which are not long enough, had to invest in expensive ones, max length I could buy was 7 meter, my floor continues to 12 meters , I worked out a way to do that. I must say I am happy with the flooring quality and service I had received from Barham.
There were some planks that weren’t perfect but that is nature of wood, very little wastage, highly recommend the company.

Solid effort fitting it yourself — especially over a 12-metre run. As you mentioned, real oak is a natural product, so a small amount of character is to be expected, but we’re glad wastage was minimal and the finished result looks spot on. Thanks again for choosing Barham & Sons and for the recommendation.
Great Customer Service
The company were recommended by our architect, so we went onto their website and ordered some samples. We were amazed at how quickly they were dispatched.
We then chose the Benchmark Oak 3506 flooring based on the sample. We wanted a quick delivery and Ricky managed to arrange for the flooring to be delivered a few days later.
Our fitter started laying the floor and we noticed that this particular product had a huge variation of light and dark oak planks, which gave the flooring a chequerboard effect. At this point we decided it wouldn’t work in our open plan room.
We contacted the company and discussed the situation with Warren. Many companies would have been dismissive but Warren understood our issue and sent us some photos of full packs that had been opened and laid out, so we could compare different products.
We then chose a product based on the information and photos that had been provided. Warren and Ricky then arranged for the new floorboards to be delivered a couple of days later on a Saturday, to be ready for the fitter on Monday.
You can tell a good company by their customer service. Warren, Ricky and the delivery driver were all first class. I would highly recommend this company and we’re looking forward to enjoying our new flooring.

Responsive Customer service and good products
We found Barham and Sons online. We have never visited the showroom. We worked with Warren throughout. Seems like a good project range particularly for parquet - which we ordered plus glue and trim. Warren has just been great throughout. Main delivery on time, as promised. When the fitter needed more glue, our email our request was responded to and order placed within 10 mins. We have had some delays because the delivery company dropped the glue and we ended up with an unusable but expressly delivered glue filled box! These things happen sometimes. I just a company by what they do if things go wrong. Warren sorted it out. - Recommend and will use them again for other rooms.

Product fine. Experience awful
The product it’s self is fine. Customer experience dreadful. To start, as if to subconsciously warn me of unanticipated ineptitude, my order was attached to someone else’s account (?data breach as I was given an invoice with some less details on). The week before my flooring was due to be delivered and installed I called to confirm the dates. On the day of installation no one showed up. Three calls later I was informed that they had not booked the installers after all but might be able to get it done the next day. They could not. Then told maybe the next day. They could not. Then maybe the next day. They could not. Finally I was given a date 17 days later. Throughout the whole experience Ricky was hapless. Never acknowledged or responded to my emails. No apology or discount offered.

To clarify, the installers are independent contractors and not directly employed by Barham & Sons. That said, the responsibility for coordinating and communicating installation arrangements still sits with us, and on this occasion the process fell short. The issues you’ve raised regarding scheduling, communication, and the initial account error should not have happened, and I apologise for the experience you had.

Wood flooring
I visited the Newmarket showroom not really decided on the type of flooring I wanted. The person I spoke to was knowledgable, friendly, and professional without being pushy. I decided on an engineered oak herringbone floor to run through the downstairs hallway, lounge, and kitchen. I am absolutely delighted with the quality of the product and the service received from Barhams and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Very pleased with my purchase
I visited the showroom a couple of times and on both occasions Warren took the time to explain the options available. I purchased Evolution 100% waterproof flooring for the kitchen and engineered oak for the remainder of the property (except the bathroom). I also purchased unfinished oak doors. All the products were of excellent quality and the man who delivered everything took great care. I would thoroughly recommend Barham and Sons and if you can, do visit the showroom to see the wide range of flooring for yourself. The engineered oak product I eventually chose was not the one I had seen online.

Antique Oak Large Plank flooring
We bought the Antique Oak 6109 large plank floor with random length up to 2.8m long.
Ricky and Warren were very helpful. The showroom may be out of London but worth the trip in terms of offering and cost. We picked a few versions and A4 sized samples were sent to the flat.
We reviewed and when ready (I was happy were were given time to make a decision without being chased constantly), placed our order after placing a deposit to hold the base stock for us.
Delivery was very fast 2-3 weeks. They also recommended an installer who was brilliant.
Highly recommend for quality and speed. A great secret in the Flooring market.

I was recommended Barham & Son by a friend who is the architectural salvage business, I was doing a loft conversion, my friend is a perfectionist and really into old reclaimed stuff so when he told me about someone who makes their own engineered flooring in the UK is usually the best there is... He was not wrong as it is fantastic quality and my builder enjoyed fitting it (well hje said he was very happy with his work) and that was because the product was very good. We floated the floor and it is solid. Barham also have 4mm finish top where oters it was a 3mm top plus Ricky and Warren did me a great deal and rushed the floor out to me very quickly... I can not fault any part of the flooring process in my job... Can't wait to get the Corex up..?!!! PS I have already recommended them to two other friends.
