Went to Paris over the weekend driver…

Went to Paris over the weekend driver Barry was fabulous. The whole drive was fine

A rather been Eurotunnel as getting back was late for all. Paris was fabulous. Not fun on the ferry ⛴️.

The weather was fabulous
The floating hotel was okay but the stairs for people who have disability to reach cabin not so. Should sort out better arrangements for people that can't go down the stairs.

And the bathroom steps is not great either in the cabin.

The ferry back to longer and I was last of the coach as my taxi was not their. But it got sorted and I got home Wednesday morning 12.30am very late. Overall it was a great couple of days. I would recommend this trip

Sacked unfairly with no genuine reason…

I took on a part time zero hours contract as a minibus driver as I have stepped down from my main job in Engineering. I did all hours given to me, sometimes at 2.00am and early hours too for poor financial reward.

I did all the required vehicle checks, drove to the best of my ability and had some good interactions with the customers that I helped to the best of my ability and who tipped me often for my help and manner.

Then unexpectedly at 8.10am on 22nd October, I get a call saying that someone complained about my driving and I was also called a RACIST.
JUST TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT - The Friday prior, I was given a mini bus that was about 7 years old and in a very poor state of repair with about 280,000 miles on the clock and it had clearly seen better days. It was the most rocky, bumpy drive I have ever experienced, I think the suspension was on its way out and the passengers and myself all experienced discomfort and back issues. I slowed to 35 mph in a 60 zone and kept it really slow hence arrived back at the depot about 1.5 to 2 hours after expected back there. Obviously I was reported for something outside of my control. I can not control suspension on a semi-knackered vehicle. I was offered no explanation whatsoever.

As for Racism.... makes me laugh.
I Drive a Chinese car, eat Indian food, Chinese Food, Japanese food, Thai Food, Italian food.... need I go on.
I wear clothing made all over the world.
I have Black friends, Brown friends, Yellow friends, Pink and White Friends from places like India, Iran, Africa, Italy, UAE, OH - and England too! Some are Christians, Some ate Muslims, Some don't care for Religion.
As long as somebody abides by the Laws of this country and pays their taxes, and is here LEGALLY - I have no issues where they are from or what race they are.

Me and my wife re-homed hundreds of refugees and fed and clothed many too so how Dare they call me a Racist.

Where this allegation came from I do not know, but they had better "Lawyer up" as I am not going to let this RACISM SLANDER go.

If they do not wish me to work for them, I have no problem with that whatsoever. To be quite honest I do not wish to work for an outfit who Trials, Hangs - draws - quarters its people without even giving them chance to speak or defend themselves. PATHETIC.

See You in Court Barnes for SLANDER.

Tertible terrible terrible service for elderly...

An elderly friend of mine had booked a holiday to torquey leaving today from marlborough, well his mobility scooter was ok'd when he booked it and as he went in, they saw his scooter. So he travelled this morning to go and meet the coach and the driver refused to lift his scooter onto the coach because it was to heavy (apparently) now he is sat at home, upset and not on his holiday. Absolutly disgusting treatment of an elderly man who just wanted a break. Top work guys, top work.

No compassion

Barnes Coaches. No compassion whatsoever. My mum was rushed into hospital on Friday as an emergency. She was unable to join a trip on Saturday due to being hooked up to machines. Her travel companion contacted Barnes. They said 'she only gave us 24 hours of cancellation and so we are unable to refund'. Does anyone have a crystal ball as we are obviously supposed to give 3 days notice before falling ill and being hospitalised.

Super Friendly Company

Been a regular day tripper with Barnes and their drivers are always polite, friendly and accomodating. Not had the ability to venture out this year because of Covid... But will book up a few trips as soon as possible. Their charity and work throughout this first year f the pandemic has not gone unnoticed. Well done guys and girls!
