Complete bait and switch
Complete bait and switch. We paid $1500 for this program in early 2023 and they promised support until age 6, but guess what, they no longer honor that promise. I have been telling all my parenting friends NOT to even consider Batelle for this very reason.
Batelle techniques work
Batelle techniques work. We bought the “most popular package” as stated on the website. DIY app, with 60 days support. We went from a 14 month old baby, who was used to waking up crying and inevitably screaming at regular intervals to feed and snuggle, as that was his pattern since birth, to a baby that was able to self soothe with the help of a predictable, calming, soothing routine followed by us, the parents.
Batelle is sleep training for Parents to help enable the child to feel safe and nurtured.
We were at our wits end for months due to nightly wakings because we simply didn’t have a few basic skills and subtle techniques that make a huge difference in getting a child to fall asleep, stay asleep, and quickly return to sleep during night when inevitable night wake ups happen.
By employing the techniques, the night wakings were the first thing to be fixed within the first couple of weeks, then came improvement in naps, and finally the bedtime routine is now going very well.
This ain’t no cry it out deal, this is proper, caring and engagement that trains the entire family.
We as parents now have some effective skills and are able to actually sleep.!
PS - the support / customer service at Batelle was also top notch !
Charlatans selling snake oil
Charlatans selling snake oil. Not only does it not work but it will leave you more frustrated than when you started. As far as I am concerned this company is completely fraudulent, no human beings to talk to anymore and yet they are still charging me for a service Provided by human beings. Runaway save your money this is a waste.

Get some rest!
If sleeping is important to you, just sign up. We enrolled our 2 yr old daughter in the Batelle program when she was still nursing roughly every two hours, including through the night and sleeping in our bed. Within a few weeks, after following the program, our daughter was able to follow her routine and fall asleep within 15 minutes. She now sleeps through the night with no problems.
The program really changed our lives. Our daughter is having fewer tantrums. I'm able to speak in coherent sentences now and am a much more pleasant person since I'm not constantly sleep-deprived.
Great concept but did not work for us
I liked the concept. It is a well thought out stepped approach. However, we followed it religiously for three months and our child is still not sleeping through the night consistently. As others mentioned, the support seemed generic and the responses were the same every time. It is advertised as a highly individualized program but the support we got was from another tired mom with her own fussy newborn in the background who I felt like barely had time to address our actual issues.
If our child was sleeping I would sing praises. But he’s 18 months and still not sleeping and particularly fussy during the day so we are alll exhausted. Which is why we invested in the program in the first place.
Feel like I was ripped off
I was really excited because it seemed like Battle improved sleep initially. After few weeks post graduating, our child became addicted to their mantra. Now it has to play all night, although she will still wake up multiple times at night crying. They lowered their prices now, but for the insane amount I paid about a year ago, I did not get my money worth. They promise continuous support for until child turns 4 or 5, but when I message them with any questions they give me generic, unhelpful replies.

Two year check in
I wanted to write a review at this point. I wanted people to know it truly works and will continue to work. We joined a Batelle sleep class when our daughter was 15 months old. We had given up on the thought of a full nights sleep long before that. She would wake 5-6 times a night screaming and nothing would make her happy. We just wanted our bed back! I searched google and found Batelle and thought, “why not? I’ve got nothing to lose at this point.” So we enrolled. Within 10 days our girl slept through the night. We have never looked back. It has been two years since we took the Batelle class. She is now 3 and as of last week, we retired our HUG from Batelle (if you join you’ll know what this is). She is officially in a standard bed and we are still getting a great night sleep (even with our current newborn who is a DREAM of a baby when it comes to sleep). All of this to say, it works. It still works. I’d do it over and over again and wish we had done it sooner. Thank you Batelle. You gave our girl and us parents, a good nights rest for many, many years now! Give it a chance!
The steps are so small and easy
The steps are so small, you might want to quit because how could they POSSIBLY help your baby sleep with such subtle pivots? But PLEASE, please see this program through. Everyone was amazing and available and supportive. And more importantly, it just WORKS. Our baby has been sleeping 12 hours by herself for 2 months now.
Highly Recommend
Batelle Babies made a huge difference in our Daughter’s bedtime routine and sleep schedule. We started her on this program when she was 4 months old and before we had to hold, feed, rock to sleep; it was very stressful. Now she’s nearly 9 months old, can put herself to sleep and sleeps through the night. We learned so much from Kim and the Batelle team, this was so worth the investment.
Almost 2 months
So it’s been almost 2 months since completing the Batell Sleep school and it’s going great! Despite some hurdles such as illness and now separation anxiety, were still on track! Im also pleased to say that the ongoing support from our point of contact, Emily has been AMAZING! I was worried that once we completed , we would not get as great a service but that’s not the case 🙌🏽. It’s not as fast as it was during sleep school but still a great support.
Great 👍🏻 love it and recommend it
If your child is disabled, do not use.
We have a child with a disability and the program did not work for us. We tried it for at least 3 months and had no improvement. We had multiple phone calls and were told that we should just keep hanging on and keep trying as it was a process. They made us “hang on” until we were over the refund period. Then they told us our child was having a little “setback” which was completely normal and they could not refund us. I would not recommend this company if your child has disabilities. I would honestly not recommend this to anyone as this refund will never come if it doesn’t work for your family.
If you try to call the phone number offered below, no one answers. This company is not reliable.

Success Guarantee with Conditions
First I’d like to say that I DO believe that the program CAN work for anyone, as can be attested by the large number of positive reviews. However, I feel that each child’s experience and acclimation to the program can be drastically different so the claims/promises/expectations, such as “no-cry” approach isn’t always realistic. Now that being said, the program didn’t work for us as our child was extremely opposed to sleeping in her crib and doesn’t know how to self-soothe. In addition, my partner was apprehensive about this sleep training approach and the excessive crying just made the whole process extra challenging for her. The program is focused on an incremental “step” approach and I just felt that our daughter was not really succeeding at each step milestone but the program still encouraged moving forward through steps. Ultimately, we decided to give up around step 6 or 7, because we weren’t really seeing any progress, and this is when the reality of the “guarantee” was revealed, that the money back guarantee is only if you finish the full program. This doesn’t really make sense to me, if your child isn’t able to make progress on preceding steps, how can they be expected to finish the program? So the reveal is that you forfeit $500, of the $1,500 if you don’t finish the program. I had a few other minor gripes with the program generally speaking, I wish they had been more transparent about certain things and I definitely wish it had worked for us because we are still struggling to help our daughter self-soothe. Congrats for all those who is DID work for.

Finally sleep!
This program was amazing. The team was responsive and guided me in navigating the steps. They were amazing in supporting us and individualizing solutions for the barriers we had. We went from almost 4-5 awakening a night and temper tantrums, to being able for the whole family to finally get some good rest. Amazing and would recommend for anyone who is serious about teaching their family healthy sleep habits. It’s hard so he ready to work! But the sleep school team are there every step of the way
Batelle is a sleep saver :)
Our baby slept well until 4 months and then things slowly went downhill from there. I went back to work when she was 6 months so our habits to get more sleep + regressions = not quality sleep.
Our daughter was waking up 2-3 times a night on a good night and was eating 8-12 ounces through the night.
My husband & I had to switch off putting her to bed (and still do now). We needed a program where we could still respond to our daughter but wean her off and do it in baby steps. Batelle was the perfect program for us and are very thankful for these steps!
Our daughter is actually sick(double ear infection + eye infection) but still did wonderful - which is an immense difference than before.
My husband & I are very thankful for Batelle and feel supported to continue on until our daughter is 6.
Thank you to everyone who was a part of our journey - we appreciate you!
A Game-Changer for Our Child's Sleep Habits
My wife and I were struggling to get our little one to independently fall and stay asleep throughout the night. After months of poor sleep quality, we did some research and came across the Batelle Sleep School.
Everyone whom we engaged with was extremely friendly. The mobile app and materials enabled us to quickly work through the training at our own pace. Within 2-3 weeks we had our daughter sleeping through the night, no longer in need of our touch or presence to fall asleep.
We did hit a couple of regressions at developmental milestones and after travel/jetlag, but we were able to apply our Batelle learnings to get our little one back on track relatively quickly.
Overall, I highly recommend this sleep training! (As an additional data point, I referred my sister who had a similarly positive experience with her little one.)
Not an expense, but a worthy INVESTMENT!
I had tried the CIO and modified Ferber with my 4mo and it was NOT working. We got into the bad habit of rocking him all the way to sleep, but then ended up doing some ninja maneuvers in an attempt to place him in his crib without him waking up. It was definitely not sustainable. During one of the early morning wakes at around 5 months old, I was helplessly googling and came across Batelle. I HATE spending money, and this seemed too good to be true (help until 6 YEARS old?!), but I decided to make the plunge. It wasn't magic, and he wasn't magically sleeping all night after 2 weeks, but things were MUCH improved, he was only waking 1-2 times for a quick feed, AND he would go back to sleep much faster than previously. I called that a win! The Ring camera that they included was super helpful, and I LOVED the 24/7 support. Sometimes, while I would be there working through a long wake period at night, I would just message the support team to keep me sane & busy so I wouldn't be counting the minutes--it helped time go by more quickly and with less anxiety.
By 10 months old, baby boy had started sleeping on his stomach, and THIS was the magical key. He started sleeping 10-11 hours throughout the night, but I am convinced that if we hadn't done all of the hard work with the Batelle method prior to this, he wouldn't have been able to soothe himself back to sleep so easily. He is now 13 months old, and I have been able to use their maintenance support team to work through some sleep regression stages, travel, sickness, and most recently trying to switch from 2 naps to 1 (and they helped me do some trial & error to where I realized he wasn't quite ready to drop a nap yet).
I am SUPER thankful for this program. Getting a full night's sleep is crucial for both us and baby boy. I am comforted to know that I can reach out when he gets a bit older and we need to work on transitioning him from crib to toddler bed, if/when he tries to come out of his room into our room, if/when we have another child which will alter his sleep schedule, etc etc until he is 6 years old.
I encourage you to look at Batelle not as an expense, but as an INVESTMENT. It's been worth every penny!
My yard and my home thank you
I write this review while taking a break from weeding in my front yard. Our yard has looked like the Amazon for quite some time. I’m surprised the HOA has not yet fined us for its lack of upkeep.
Now that I’m getting sleep, consistently, every night, I have the energy to maintain it. I also have energy to clean my house and cook food. Thank you Batelle! My quality of life has drastically improved since you taught me how to teach my daughter to feel SAFE as she sleeps. She sleeps from 7pm to 6am CONSISTENTLY. And I didn’t lay in bed crying, wishing I could go to comfort her as we have experienced with the numerous “cry it out” methods out there. To the parent or caregiver who refuses to let their child cry it out but still is in dire need of rest, Batelle is for you.
Would give 0 stars if I could
Would give 0 stars if I could. Was blown off right out the gate. I had a consultation scheduled and the person didn't show and did not respond to any emails asking about it.
Not the kind of customer service I would hand over $1500 to!

knowledge is power
We started in Batelle babies and had an amazing experience with Kim. She really was so understanding and non judgmental of where our sleep journey was when we started and she gave such sound advice. Going through the Batelle program brought a lot of knowledge and insight and now our family approach’s sleep with a whole new perspective. Thank you Batelle.
