Battersea Biltong LTD Reviews 

I've been ordering biltong for the past few years at a rate of around a kilo per month and I've tried quite a few places and have my favourites but also like to give new places a chance to surprise me. This biltong was recommended by a friend and I ordered a two bags of 500 grams (one bag came 60 grams short) to try it before I order more but unfortunately I would not be ordering more.
The meat is so dry I almost broke a tooth and the amount of salt used must be half of the total weight. It wasn't sliced but more like pulled and while most of the bits were lean with not much fat there were quite a few bits of just fat with no meat attached just thrown in the bag.
There was no option to select the type of slices or the level of dryness on the website and it took them a week to process and send my order.
Overall it was a disappointing experience.

The chipotle honey flavour biltong was absolutely delish. So fresh! I will definitely be buying again, thanks.

I've only had one pack of the 5 i bought ! although the flavour and quality of the meat is good, the slices are way too thick for my liking.....it may just be a batch, but there is no way i can chew through this lot !!

I am a South African and have been living in London for the past 2 years. I have tried biltong in England, but have always been disappointed until I tried Battersea Biltong! Battersea Biltong transported me straight back home. It was absolutely delicious and flavourful! I will certainly be a repeat customer :)

They directly emailed me and notified they didn't have halal biltong but they could buy halal meat and make it for me if I'd wait a couple of weeks.

I am pleased to see they are men of their word. Delivered recently.
And my halal biltong is quite balanced in terms of juice and spices.

Absolutely delicious! It's the best biltong we've been able to find in the UK!

This is a fantastic product - period. I will impluse buy bitlong and jerky in supermarkets and invariably it will disappoint. Battersea Bitlong is the real thing - moist and tasty - all in all a very satisfying eating experience. Go out and buy it and see for yourselves. Awesome work by a company that deserves to flourish.

Our family always enjoying this biltong since I found them from a farmers’ market. However, the last order of 200g x 6 on 16th Feb was huge disappointment as four packs out of six were very dry and contains lots of fat. I hope this is one off experience. Otherwise, one of the best biltong I have ever had.

I ordered a classic set of 10 and received five classics and five mixed other flavours. One plastic bag was opened, and the meat was around inside the box. and this time, the meat was not dry enough, compared to my older experience.

So I initially bought some halal biltong which just tasted like dried pickled meat (yes, not something I'd want to eat either). I then posted a negative review and Ed kindly asked me to contact him by email with my order number so that they could so they can have the chance to prove that this may have been an off batch. Suffice it to say, the replacement biltong that they sent through was pretty decent. I'd give it a 4/5 (I wish it was a bit saltier and was spicy and I wish they offered halal chili bites too!). Overall, the care they've shown in dealing with me has been great so I'll give them 5 stars! This will probably be where I order my biltong going forward since it's so hard to find halal lean biltong in London.
