Could have been brilliant

Could have been brilliant - but wasnt!
3 of us booked virgin experience days at bear grylls. When we tried to book our slots for archery and axe throwing we were all being given different time slots. We contacted BG to rectify this, it took over a month and probably around 15 emails! They made it clear that they were not happy we didnt book direct and were as awkward as possible.

On the day the queues at the cafe were long with 1 person serving and half of the bows for archery had the clip missing that the arrow was supposed to rest on, meaning you had to hold it sideways! We got hardly any time to actualy shoot in archery as most of the time was spent giving instructions for games!

On a positive note the axe throwing was great and the guy running that was fantastic.

Had this been a better experience I would have recommended it to several people and also gone back for other activities. So much potential but so badly run.

Terrible-Gone Wild with Bear Grylls

I am currently attending Gone Wild festival which is linked to Bear Grylls through a company called Nature Valley. This events terribly organised. Let me talk you through it:
-No potable water
-No working hand sanitisation facilities
-No working showers
-The vast majority of activities are not available to the majority due to under provision
-There is nobody to talk or complain to
-total lack of information
-everything is somebody else's fault

I would not book this event again, neither would I book anything associated to Bear Grylls if this is the level of quality control associated with his brand.

I hope others heed this advice
Sam ( and his disappointed unhappy family)
