Great establishment and amazing…

Great establishment and amazing service! I had a massage with Dee who was very welcoming and friendly. The massage was very relaxing while also managing to release tension in some tough spots!

I had a pedicure and lymphatic facial massage with Dee. She was so lovely and the whole experience was exactly what I needed - the facial massage in particular was great and will definitely be going again, it’s the perfect amount of time to squeeze in if you’re busy but still get properly relaxed. Glad I found this place!

I’ve been going to this salon regularly…

I’ve been going to this salon regularly for BIAB and other nail treatments, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Dee is absolutely exceptional - professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. She really listens to what you want and always respects your preferences, which makes the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. She is an absolute delight, and I always leave feeling very happy with the results.

Inconsolable and Devastating Cut

Inconsolable and Devastating Cut, Do Not Use This Salon
 
I am writing in support of my daughter following her recent visit. She has been left heartbroken and inconsolable after attending this dreadful salon. The haircut was not what she requested, and the way her complaint was handled has been completely unacceptable.
 
She was very clear and asked for a small trim only. The hairdresser showed her the back of her hair where he intended to cut, and she even said, “Not that much,” as she needs to tie her hair up for work as a fitness instructor. Instead, significant layers were cut in, along with a short “butterfly fringe”, without her consent. After years of growing her hair, she has been left unable to style it as required and, as you can imagine, is devastated.
 
Photos were taken without her permission and then denied, which makes you think they were looking for dramatic before and after pictures.
 
Having since read similar Trustpilot reviews describing this as a Groupon scam, as they also charge more to Groupon customers on arrival, I feel compelled to warn others. I would strongly advise against using this salon, I would hate for anyone else to have to go through what my daughter has. This is going to take years to rectify.

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE GASLIT, LIED TO, AND MUGGED OFF FINANCIALLY- DO NOT GO HERE!!!

WOW- I feel validated after reading the other reviews here! DO NOT USE THIS SALON! Unless you want to have a hair cut you didn’t ask for resulting in lots of hair loss, be gaslit and accused of lying, have photos taken on you without permission, and mugged off financially.

I used a Groupon voucher here to get my ends cut, as I’m trying to grow my hair longer (it was down almost at my bum by a couple of CM, and I knew I needed a couple of inches off). I expressed multiple times to the hairdresser how I wanted to lose as little hair as possible. The front parts of my hair around the face were a bit shorter (down to my armpit) and I said he could shorten them a bit to keep the frame, but that as a fitness instructor I have to be able to put my hair up.

The first thing was when I sat down, I had camera sounds behind me, only to turn around and see there were photos taken of me before permission being asked. When I mentioned this in the complaint email, the salon responded saying “we would like to reassure you that we do not take or use client photos without permission”, essentially accusing me of lying because photos WERE taken without my permission.

We agreed the amount to come off the bottom of my hair and I was, and still am, satisfied with that length. However, with the ‘fringe’ which the hairdresser specifically called a butterfly FRINGE, they cut it so it doesn’t even reach my chin. I went home (after a panic attack in shock) and tried to put my hair in multiple hair styles (all my favourite ones) to discover I can no longer do that. I can’t put it in a bun because the hair freys out. I can’t put it in a plait, because the layers all come out. If I put it in a ponytail, there are tufts at the top and after a couple of hours the fringe comes out, so I have to clip it back. The salon responded saying this:

“After reviewing the photo provided, we can also confirm that no fringe was cut. The front has been layered, with the shortest layer sitting below the nose. From the images, a hairband is able to hold the hair back as expected with this styles.”

I am being GASLIT here and accused of LYING, when he said butterfly FRINGE on multiple occasions. They also cannot tell me that based on a photo I can put the hair up, when they haven’t even seen what happens when I do try and put it up.

ALSO, I did not ask for these ‘layers’ that they mention above. I wanted to keep my hair as thick and long as possible, and now it has been completely thinned out, and the top layer (that used to go all the way down my back) barely comes passed my neck. I DID NOT ask for these layers.
They have also dropped themselves in it because on Groupon the treatment I had was worth £200, but I paid £20. I was told on the day I needed to pay an extra £15. In the e-mail they have sent me responding to my complaint, they said my treatment was worth £150, so I have paid £35 for a £150 treatment no £20 for £200.
I had a panic attack and spent the whole weekend crying, and the salon have responded by lying to me, accusing me of lying, gaslighting me, and showing no compassion.

I strongly believe that my hair was used as a model for dramatic before and after photos for the salon. I have simply asked for a £15 refund for the extra I had to pay on the day, when I could be asking for more given I paid for what I though was a treatment worth £50 more, and they are refusing to give it to me.

I will absolutely not be going back and will be doing whatever I can to ensure other people don’t go and have the same experience.

As previously explained in our direct communication with you, a full consultation was carried out prior to your service. The agreed length was confirmed before cutting, and a butterfly cut was discussed and approved before proceeding. At no point during the consultation was it communicated that the front needed to remain long enough to be fully tied up for gym use.

Following your complaint, we carefully reviewed the service with the stylist and the images taken. The front of the hair was layered in line with a butterfly cut; no traditional fringe was cut. We understand that styling preferences can feel different once you return home and try various looks, and we appreciate that hair is very personal.

Regarding photographs, it is strictly against our policy to take or use client images without permission. We do not benefit in any way from doing so without consent. If you did not wish for any images to be used, that is fully respected.

In relation to pricing, Groupon promotions reflect heavily discounted services from standard salon prices. The additional £15 paid on the day was explained at the appointment and agreed before proceeding.

We understand that you are unhappy with the outcome, and we are sorry that you feel distressed. However, having thoroughly reviewed the matter, we remain confident that the service was carried out in line with the consultation and agreed style.

AVOID GROUPON SCAM AND DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE

AVOID! GROUPON SCAM!!

They requested my Groupon voucher, redeemed it and then refused to give me an appointment saying Groupon is a separate service and has limited appointments and therefore they cannot accommodate. The owner was extremely rude, unprofessional and has very poor manners.

When you get there, they add on extra money to your bill,once the treatment is done, they try to persuade you that they had gone over and beyond the treatment and therefore extra money is required,Avoid and be careful, do not trust them!

Save your money and pay a little extra for a professional service elsewhere because paying peanuts gets you monkeys from beauty on the spot!

A Little gem in the Heart of Dalston

I foundt this Little gem more than a year ago on Groupon.I went there for a massage,Dee and Silvia welcomed me with a smile, offered me coffee and water and the treatment was top!! Welcoming and professional staff; they both are Amazing,I'm a customer for almost 2 years and I am glad I foundt this gem in the Heart of Dalston!!!Beauty tips, Amazing treatments and staff top!!!
Highly recommended!!!Try your self and Will see!

Terrible Customer Service!

Never visited the salon so I can’t review my experience there but their customer service is absolutely appalling! I bought a Groupon voucher but when I tried too book a couples massage they were not helpful at all and I was taken on a run around. They also redeemed my voucher before my appointment so be careful before you send them the code.

Thank you Beauty on the Spot

I love this salon, just sampled a fat and cellulite busting machine and it literally blew my mind. It was truly amazing.

I frequently pop into salon for treatments and can honestly say I have no intention of going anywhere else.

The staff are warm, friendly and efficient, it this day and age its extremely difficult to find a salon that ticks all the boxes and this one does.

Thanks ladies for looking after me.

Unprofessional staff

There were two staff members doing our massages one named Dee and one named Silvia. On two occasions, (whilst doing the massage and facial) Dee was laughing. When our eyes were covered during the facial, they were trying to communicate with each other also. We found that experience extremely unprofessional and would not recommend this company.

Scam

Scam. They requested my Groupon voucher, redeemed it and then refused to give me an appointment. Very very rude the entire time via email. Now it’s a nightmare to get a refund. Avoid and be careful, do not trust them
