Poor customer service, badly organised and unfriendly greeting by Manager. My appointment was not honoured, was informed on arrival at the salon by Manager (whilst she was on the phone) rather than ringing me before I travelled to the salon. Offered alternative appointment which was not convenient. Let down the day before I went on holiday - really disappointing, would not rely on booking anything at this place in the future.
Booked a Groupon voucher for a gel manicure , the manager did my nails but didn't really seem to know what she was doing. I came out with nails that peeled off in 3 days!! I called up made another appointment for her to rectify them but when I arrived she wasn't in. No one knew where she was and I was then rebooked for 2 weeks time with the actual nail technician. She did a great job but the manager tried to charge me for prep work even though I'd paid to have them completely redone. Would definitely avoid going here again.
In February, I booked and paid in full for hair and make up in June. I was told that due to some “non payers” in December. I had to pay in full, upfront. I then booked a cut and blow dry appt in March to check out the salon. I was contacted an hour before my appt time and asked if I could change due to the fact that the stylist I’d booked with, was doing extensions instead!
I could not change and arrived in good time for my appt only to be told that the stand in had slept in and would be late! He was 15 minutes late, but did a lovely job.
I rebooked for April whilst I was there and told to bring in my fascinator to see what would be needed in June.
I arrived at the salon for my appt to be met by a young lady who had no idea that I would be turning up. Not the person who should have been doing my hair (she was ill) . I had my hair trimmed and blow dried by the obvious trainee, paid and left.
It was at this juncture that I decided to cancel the June wedding appointment as the service I had received was less than ok! I was told I could not have a full refund as it wasn’t company policy. I had to fight to negotiate a £40 refund on a £107 payment. And to date (end of May) I have received nothing, despite numerous texts to the owner who gave a new excuse each time!
Avoid at all costs!!!
I had a horrendous experience after booking in for a blow dry. Half an hour before my appointment I was called and told that my appointment was cancelled due to “illness”. I had an event and therefore this was disappointing to hear. I was quite frustrated that my appointment was cancelled at such late notice, I was literally in the car on my way there.
Upon booking, I was forced to pay a deposit. I did ask for this back, since they cancelled, but they did not give it back and claimed their “machine was broken”. I called back several times over the months and when asking for my deposit back, they would hang up the phone on me which is extremely rude and unprofessional.
Would not recommend.
Ryan coloured and cut my hair today and I absolutely love it.
My hair looked awful before entering the shop and then looked amazing on leaving!

I had an amazing time with Ryan and Natalie. Ryan my hair is amazing and I am sooooo happy with it. Natalie my eyebrows look fab and my shoulders feel so much better after my massage. My husband even said they aren't looking as rounded and forward now! Thank for making me feel so welcome. I am usually really nervous going for these sorts of appointments. But you both made me feel so welcome like I've been coming to you for years. Thank you for making me feel better about myself today x
I booked online and paid the obligatory deposit.
I received a phone call shortly before the appointment asking me to move the booking an hour late. Fine: Things happen.
I arrived just before the updated appointment time and waited for an hour while they searched for the person who was supposed to cut my hair. Again, fine. Well, not really, but things happen. This hour was punctuated by the owner repeatedly telling me how stressed she was, and almost having a domestic with one of her hairdressers. I feel for anyone who's having a bad day at work, but making it your customer's problem isn't great practice.
After an hour of this I needed to go back to work - I just couldn't justify waiting any longer. What should have happened at this point - the basic, most simple thing in terms of customer service - is to have been offered my deposit back. This didn't happen. Not great, but fine, whatever: people can be forgetful under pressure.
So I asked for my deposit back. I was told I'd have to phone up the next day. Not at all great. Alarm bells started to ring, but ok, I played the game.
I phoned up the following day, as instructed. It took five attempts before anyone answered and they said they wouldn't be able to do anything until Monday. Considerably not OK: why ask me to call for a refund at a time when it's not possible to process a refund?
I have instead lodged a claim via PayPal who have already closed my case and actioned a refund due to my having not received the service it was sent in part-payment for.
Absolutely shocking customer service. I should have been offered my deposit back immediately, but instead they dragged their feet and fobbed me off twice. I see I'm not the only person to have left feedback on this theme. There's no way I'll be booking another appointment here.

I had an appointment today 17th June for a massage . How ever when I arrived at beauty with in sidmouth I was told that they had no booking for me .
Some one from the beauty salon phoned me and booked the appointment . I have a voucher to use which I have been trying to use it but they always say they are to busy to fit me in . So booked it for today .
When I get there no appointment .
Not at all happy . An appointment has now been booked for 15th July . If they remember to book it and don’t for get
But when I do go they will have to take the voucher as I am not paying for there mistake .
Travelling 8 miles each way all to be told no appointment .
I will not be using them again as they are so unreliable.
Be aware when you book as when you arrive you are told they have no booking . They are very good at cancelling re arranging and cancelling it again . It was not my fault that we had COVIDand could not use the voucher when I could use it could no get a appointment.
But when the appointment was maid for today I asked if I could change the dermaplaning to a full body massage. For to day 17th. This was done. The only thing that changed was the time . Not at all impressed. Will be using a different place from now on and telling other people that I have recommended to do the same .
It would appear they do not no what the other one is doing .
Thank you for letting me down . This place is not like it used to be no wonder they do not staff . Every time I have been in it is the same two people. One doing nails and the other doing a mixture of things . So don’t call people
And make the appointment then not put it in the book . I do not go every week I can not afford it. This was supposed to be a treat for my birthday . When I had my eye brows a few weeks ago. I wanted to have a massage and my eyes done both together .
But could only get my eyes done as they were busy .
I could not make an appointment at the time for a massage as I did not have my diary with me so that is why I telephoned to make the appointment .
I am very tempted to get goods to the value of £40.00 instead of a massage.
Which is likely to get cancelled again or being told they do have an appointment

Fantastic experience today with my stylist, listened to exactly everything I wanted doinwg to my hair and recreated what I wanted second to none! Fab customer service offered lots of tea and magazines, found yourself a new regular! Thank you Natalie and the team!
UPDATE - Further to the managers response I wanted to state that I have no intention of emailing her as she is a big part of the problem at this salon, although notice she didn’t address her own behaviour to customers only her staffs !! She would probably just try and sell me more treatments and to be honest I get a very bad feeling from her !! She only seems bothered about reprimanding one particular staff member and I will not buy into that . Also it wasn’t just not being offered a drink it was multiple little customer service touches that all good salons give there customers but was missing at this one . As for 1/2 hour notice to move an appointment I offered much more notice than that and was still told I had to pay a £10 charge !!
I will never visit this salon again , up to other people if they choose to !!
Horrendous salon , manager is extremely pushy , constantly trying to sell you extra treatments and services , even over the phone booking an appointment and when your in the salon . No customer service from the stylists , I was ignored and left on multiple occasions during my hair cut , no basics like being offered a drink , mirror to see back of hair cut and the courtesy brush off of hair at the end . Was told if I moved an appointment I had to pay an extra £10 fee and to book even a basic cut you needed to pay an upfront deposit !!! There just money grabbing here and no effort made with there customers at all !!! Disgusted !!!

What Can I Say
The full one stop shop , you can come for all your Beauty needs , Hair we have six Stylists ranging from Junior to Director Stylist .
Also have two Station Swanky Barbers Area for that Gent who just wants to walk-in or Book is fine .
Open 7 days a week is a huge plus to the salon
Late evenings as well . So I would certainly recommend this place Staff /Team are very friendly and will always go that extra mile .
Highly recommend beauty withinn. A shop that has it all. Anything you need they do and go above and beyond for their customer. Thanks to all the staff, you have been amazing!
