Incorrect paint colours
After ordering what was described as dark grey paint which I purchased to have my conservatory roof coated, seemed to be anything but. As I was dropped in it by the painter, I decidedf to buy a airless sprayer and have a go myself. Not being a painter or expert but had previous experience with a can thought it would be a good idea. On the only day I had, as i work like most people, fitting it in to weekend and when teh weather was not windy, and then seeing clouds come over then it had to be a quick job. I poured 2 tins in as it asked for and although noticed it was a light grey, assumed it would darker, as all paint has in my house when I have put it on a wall. This did not. I questioned thsi with teh company as I now had a light grey roof but dark grey elsewhere. To keep this entry small, I basically spend quite a number of days and over a few weeeks trying to get teh company to recognise what had happened. I had a very condescending person at teh other end, although his manager who was apparantly listening to teh call said he was not...okay I must be lying then. I contcated the directors to get some kind of understanding, none responded, and I was told they did not feel they needed to. After pushing this to try and get them to understand that the colour dark grey means dark gery, but teh condescending man said it is darker than light gery (so how is this dark grey). She checked the batch out and said it was as it should be. SO, dark grey in this company's eyes is actually slighly darker than light grey, which in a normal persons eyes is not teh same. The paint I have on which they said is blue which is not, was dark grey and teh can I bought which was a better match was dark grey. So why is their interpretation of dark grey the same colour as teh current popular colours of cars...light grey. Noone would call this colour dark grey. They know I have 1 unopened tin and they didnt even say they would chnage this. I have a devalued consrvatory now unl;ess I buy more paint and spray it some other color darker than their dark grey, at a cost of £150 for teh paint. It isnt cheap. I found this company to fail to acknowledge teh underlying problem that they are calling a apint cllour incorrectly in teh eyes of a normal person and say they have no complaints. There is nothing on here but I struggled to find this to start with. The paint is good and most painters clearly have more time than I had and understand the colour will remain the same. I had not time and believed it would change as all other paint I have used. No responsibility taken and customer services and the directors are not bothered as the clear lack of responses and false promises made for copying me into emails which did not happen. be careful with this company because they do not care and make a normal customer feel like a fool. He treat me like I had no brains.
