Ordered a Delirium Gift Box from Beer Merchants for a work colleague's leaving gift. It arrived quickly but unfortunately the glass had broken in transit. Got in touch with customer services and they sent a new one out immediately.
Great service
Selling/sending best before beers and not advertising the fact.
Ordered on 25/05. Received 2 cans dated 23/03 and several dated 07/05. Some others didn't even have a BBE just a packaged date of Jul 21 so probably past BBE too. They ignore your emails querying this. Seems to be a common theme based in other review. AVOID
Sneaky Beer Merchants
Beer Merchants have lost my trust. I bought their ‘Imperial Stout’ mixed selection a while ago. They had the nerve to sneak in a 5% stout (that was very average in flavor too) trying to pass it off as an imperial. No one would think that’s an impy stout. If they claim they’re selling and imperial stout box then each beer should be an imperial stout. When I wrote to them to complain they ignored my email. When that happens people tend to be more inclined to write bad reviews.
Very poor service
It took 3 attempts and almost one month (which included me chasing) for them to actually send my order, excuses given blaming their delivery supplier and factors “outside their control”. I could accept that once, but twice on the same order is a joke. What makes it worse is that they didn’t proactively remediate this, I had to chase it to get it sent for a third time. Shocking service provided.

I am SO disappointed with this company and we could have had such a beautiful relationship.
In a case of beer I ordered one can arrived half empty, i shook the can to see where the hole was but there wasnt one, it had only been half filled and there is Beer Merchant selling it off.
I've sent two emails and heard nothing so i thought i'd give them a bad review that might help shake them up a bit. Thats when i noticed the HUGE list of 1 star reviews, looks like they couldnt care less.
Just about every review mentions BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Never any problems, beers always arrive within a few days. Great choice of high quality beers, at a reasonable price.

Beer order never arrived
I ordered £35 worth of beer but it simply hasn’t arrived. I have sent 2 chaser emails but have been fobbed off with a 10% discount code for my next order. I simply don’t understand why internet companies are being so complacent. I would have been a regular customer ordering at least every six weeks or so. I’ll give my business to Amazon now who have after sales service you can rely on. Avoid this company at all costs.

Great craft beer supplier with quick delivery
I am surprised to see negative reviews. I have ordered from Beer Merchants several times over the past two years. Delivery has always been quick and all orders have been complete. They have a good range of craft and imported beers, and are usually priced competitively compared with similar sellers. I would highly recommend them from my experiences.
Glasses missing
Ordered some beers and matching glasses as a present. Beers arrived without the glasses, with a note saying they weren't available. Glasses were showing in stock before and after my order, and even after the beers arrived. If I'd been notified in advanced that the glasses were out of stock I would have cancelled the order and used a different supplier. I know it sounds minor, but the glasses were an important part of the present and I had to pay another delivery charge to source the glasses elsewhere.
Dishonest, poor communication & out of date beer
Update
Received a phone call and was old that the beer with the expired date may be a manufactured date. Out of all the beer I've drank if there is only 1 date on the beer then this is normally the best before date Ben from Beer Merchants said he would het back to me and head nothing even after emailing again. Yet again poor communication.
My wife brought me some beer for an Xmas present. Upon arrival there was one beer missing which my wife was charged for.
My wife then rang the company and they said ‘oh do you want to refund’ A refund should’ve been given a refund straightaway and should not need to ask. If I had not of noticed the beer was missing then I would’ve been charged for it.
I then opened one of the beers which was £9.20, quite an expensive beer. It didn’t taste very good and then I looked at the expiry date and it was April 2020. Selling beer that is nine months out of date is totally unacceptable. If a beer is out of date a customer should be made aware upon ordering.
After these two issues I certainly will not be ordering from this company again ss this calls into question their honesty and integrity and I do not recommend them. I’ll be ringing the manager and asking for an explanation and a refund for the out of date beer.

I was sent a mixed case of beer from them by way of my aunt as a gift and reordered another case shortly after myself. Quality beer, good selection and I've had no problems with deliveries. Highly recommend.

Ordered some beer as a present... opened box and surprise surprise - one of the item was missing!!! Send email and message on FB - no response. Called them and was offered “if you want we can refund the money for the missing beer as it’s out of stock”

Try to find out the complain procedure, but the person on the phone informed that it’s him and I can complain to him.
The rudeness and dishonest with zero compassion- that it was my experience with this company!
Ps. And moreover, it’s the second time that item was missing and fully charged by company! First time could be a mistake, but second... dishonest hobby!
