Very bad service

Very bad service, had to call for a problem. Instead of looking for a solution to the structural problem, say 'I don't know' three times. After the fourth time I told her she MUST sort it out. BOO put down.

I rather expected:
Examples of solutions:
- I'm going to contact Belfius head office
- I'm going to find out why
- I will contact you later for that problem
- I'm going to request the adjustment

What a service!!!

Never available on the phone

Never available on the phone. Been trying to reach out for months. Waited 30 mins on the line just to get told they can't help me. Never recommending anyone to join this bank.

Uneducated with no manners people!

Worst customer service! Don’t even bother to call. Rude telephone operator with no intention to listen and even to allow you to complete your sentence! So terrible in our days that still exist uneducated with no manners people!

In my opinion

In my opinion, with the numerous inconveniences, including the incredibly unpleasant and arrogant staff and the ongoing technical troubles (unsuccessful attempts to link my Belfius account to PayPal or Revolut) this bank is unworthy of a star! My request to apply for a credit card (with additional fees) was denied for no apparent reason and the list of disadvantages goes on and on. Consider your options carefully before opening a bank account in Belfius.

Horrible waiting time

After waiting on the phone for 60 minutes to get through to support, the music just suddenly stopped, after which the line just dropped. This is every single time, just horrible.

The worst bank i have ever dealt with

The application is difficult to use sometimes it doesnt even work. terrible service from employees. Discriminates. Every service they offer sucks and is stressful to the customer. if i could give a negative i would.

The worst bank ever

The worst bank ever. Discrimination. They keep postponing to open a business accout with the excuse that they have a lot of work. A month later still they haven't called.
We had also a very bad experience with their insurance such incompetent people. Just run away. There is better service elsewhere.

Keeping funds abusively without processing payment

Belfius bank and insurance having to pay my daughter an heritage from her passed away grandmother. All the heritage procedures have been accomplished, taxes have been paid but that institution keeps keeping the money and so far didn’t transfer. I have to use a lawyer. This is going on since many months. This should be forbidden and looks like an absolute abuse of power 👎

Discrimination

It was in a small office in Herne. I made an appointment via a phone call in the afternoon. When I arrived I ring the bell and they don’t even come to look. I rang three times and waited for 20 minutes, no body come to help me. A woman came out her office, she saw me and don’t even come to ask. I wait because I think maybe they are really busy. After 20 minutes my uncle and brother come inside to look if everything okay. Then the same woman comes to open the door and ask ‘what’s up’ I told them that I have an appointment, rang the bell and waited form 20 minutes but you don’t come to open the door.

In my experience I feel like they don’t come to help me because I’m not look like a white woman!? Because when my uncle (Belg) come inside they come direct to help. This is my first discrimination experience I ever had. I followed all the conditions, make appointment but they don’t do their job probably...

I’m from Ukraine

I’m from Ukraine. I try to send money for my family who is stuck in the conflict territory in Donetsk so they can escape it. Every day is so important, because the border can be closed every moment. The bank subscription we commanded was blocked/canceled after 10 days of waiting. It seems to be impossible for them to inform their customer -in this extraordinary situation which is going on in my country- in a decent amount of time. I called every day and didn’t got a correct answer. Every day at he bank they said it’s in process and it’s will arrive. So after 10 day they said -THEY DONT WORK WITH UKRAIN ANYMORE. I loose a very important time because they don’t tell me correctly info .

Rude

Rude, arrogant, humiliating. After a lot of intrusive probing with the excuse to prevent "money laundering",
they opened an account. Within days the manager of the Ixelles branch summoned me, I had to stand one hour in front of his door, only to tell me that my account is closed by order of the head office, no explanation, "first time in his life". Belgian service.

Belfius decides to shut down my bank account

The bank decided to close my account without any explanations. All my income is from my employer and any transactions I made were between my own accounts.

I've never heard of such thing in my life, very unprofessional. Seriously: avoid this bank.

On another note: Their banking app is absolutely horrible. It's full of pop-ups and ads.

Thank god for ING (I have been their customer since I was 12 until today at the age of 32 and never had an issue).
