I have now bought and sold a car using Bellboy Cars, nothing but positive things to say. The service is first class and Jamie is a genuine trustworthy guy in an industry where people can't always be trusted! Will keep coming back without question

Vauxhall Vivaro - woeful experience

Purchased a Vivaro van end of May that was not fit for purpose.

The van was covered in mould, the radio didn’t work, the clutch was leaking fluid, smell of burning from behind the steering wheel, terrible rust under front wheel arch, I could go on, and I have all photos to back these issues up time stamped.

Took over 8 days to get a refund, Dan was ignoring my texts and phone calls, when eventually said they would refund me, they deducted £207 for the miles on the unfit van we had used and also £100 for a valet on the van, even though the van was not fit for purpose, we have 9 children this is why we required a large van/car, my youngest being 2/3 months, the mould in the van was bad, and all these points I’m raising are factual, not opinionated.

Even though James said we would get a full refund for the part ex value and cash, we are approx £300 short.

We made them aware of the many faults with the van on day 13 and wanted our part ex back, which James refused.

They left us without a car for over a week!

When they collected the van from my house James advised he would get a low loader, they didn’t, he arranged for the van to be driven back and then deducted me approximately 30 miles for them deciding to drive the van back.

Really bad overall service from Bellboys, quick enough to answer all questions when enquiring about the vehicle, after sales service did not exist and left us at financial detriment.

We are rude! You never answered our texts, we have proof of this !! All faults I made you aware of I have photo EVIDENCE ! I am entitled to an opinion, and I know what my opinion is of your business !!! I’m sure others will find that out also if buying from you

This review is factually incorrect in every way.
The complaints that were made about this vehicle were untrue, and we have video evidence to support this.
The clutch was absolutely fine, there was no smoke from the van & the radio works perfectly.
Admittedly, our Valter had missed a very small spot of mould, which we could only apologize for.
The vehicle was completely road worthy, proven by the fact that this customer drove 470 in one week in the van.
Once we had had chance to fully inspect the vehicle’s alleged faults, A full refund was issued, minus the mileage allowance, as a gesture of good will, even though we were unable to find any faults.
With the van driving perfectly, we did not need to use a low-loader, mileage was calculated prior to driving the van back.
To summarize, Mr Lynskey & Miss Kim W decided they could take a vehicle, do 470 miles in it, and then make up a bunch of faults which are now none existent, hoping they could then just hand the van back.
I think they probably should have used a car hire company, rather than trying to con a car sales company.
If you come across these people, I suggest you do not do business with them, as all we have found is for them to be rude & dishonest.

First class customer service.

James of Bellboy Cars is an absolute star! We recently purchased a Mazda 2 from him and he gave us a great p/ex deal on our car. The car was mot'd and valeted to a very high standard before collection A slight issue came to light a few days later and whereas some car dealers would have washed their hands of the problem, James allowed us to take the car to a local garage and settled the bill immediately. Highly recommended and would definitely buy from him again. 5 stars!
