Food brilliant - shopping centre filthy
Food brilliant but the site in general looks like it’s not cared for anymore. Whats happened? Rubbish everywhere!!! Bins all full.. staircases to car park and inside area near Asda is absolutely filthy! The place looks unkept. Which is a shame as it used to stand apart from the rest of the tired looking town centre. Sort it out Barons Quay.
Best cafe in Northwich.
I travel over to my daughter in Northwich and we go to Bear regularly and we love it. My daughter and her partner adore this place. We have had breakfast and lunch here. Food is excellent..although I do think overpriced. Staff are excellent.

We love Bear Northwich always go when we visit family...Good service and staff are brilliant & friendly... I'd give it 5 stars only... the last visit on Monday 16.09. We had the Full breakfast & it wasn't it's usual up to scratch... there were 3 of us and all 3 Eggs were over done (usually nice and runny) and meal was not hot ... still tasty though... just wasn't the usual 100 % ...

Poor value for money
So I have been here a few times and each time I was less impressed. This visit was my last.
I ordered sourdough (£3.90) toast and a side of bacon (£3.20)…when it arrived there were two scrawny pieces of rashers in a bowl, which didn’t even amount of one whole piece of bacon, let alone be enough of a serving for my toast. I was really disappointed and i’m not one to make a fuss but I asked the waitress if this is a normal size portion (clearly disappointed) and she just said yes that’s what a side portion is, didn’t seem bothered by my explanation on how small the portion was nor bothered I was clearly unhappy. Instead she offered to put more through, at another £3.20. Which would bring my toast and bacon up to approx £10. No thank you.
The other food we ordered wasn’t great value for money, pancakes which could be bought from supermarket covered in fruit and masses of chocolate. It just wasn’t worth £13. This will be the last time I visit Bear.
Overpriced, not value for money, and staff not very helpful or understanding, actually they couldn’t be bothered, and the toast was rock hard.
The star I gave is purely because the venue is pleasant and in a good location. It’s spacious and airy, and feels relaxed.

We always love coming to Bear for brunch, but have come for the second time on a Saturday night and the food and cocktails are fantastic! Honestly, the food could not be better and the atmosphere and service is brilliant. Would highly recommend!

chefs not professional
Chef playing with her phone every 2 minutes, then putting her hands on my food with me sitting 2 metres away from her (open kitchen reataurant) . 20 mins waiting time for simple bacon and hashbrowns 😁
FYI . Mobile smartphone carries more viruses and bacteria than you can find on toilet seat . I've seen no gloves , no hair protection , only lots of laugh and banter and singing ??? You are not that good and overpriced too . Food was only a bit above average (presentable maybe ) and premises pleasant . But not very far from 8 quid breakfast apart from that .

Beautiful location and unique experience. It was so nice to go somewhere completely different to the norm. We visited on a Friday night and ordered a bottle of prosecco, followed by food. We ordered a few different plates and shared between us - Chipotle tacos, chorizo tacos, spicy tato tots and chorizo pizza - all were absolutely delicious! We also had cocktails afterwards. I thought the value for money was spot on. The waiting staff were really helpful and friendly. We'll be back!

No Tater Tots
Didn’t have what we ordered. Had to be given a refund. Wrong food was brought to the table. Waited quite a while for the hot drinks. Food was lovely though.
Everywhere was very clean and the servers were friendly.

Kitchen staff and customer service
I’m a regular at bear for coffee but this visit was disappointing where I came with my young children for brunch. I asked if we could have children’s pancakes but with the fruit and syrup separate and not on top (as I know my 4 year old would not eat it). It arrived with it all on top and so I asked them again if they wouldn’t mind redoing or moving what they could as I explained that’s what had been requested . I watched the waitress relay this to the kitchen staff who was so angry and annoyed by this and looking over at our table shaking his head in disgust . It made us feel really uncomfortable and as though we were a massive inconvenience. The waitress was a young girl and was just doing her job so we didn’t complain as it was not her fault - but it’s really put us off eating here again along with value for money (it was just short of £60 for a family of four to have a basic breakfast and two of those were kids meals).
