Bento for Business Reviews 

Never commit with this company they are unable to support their own customers or respond to simple email requests. Secondly they could never activate our business account our employees couldn’t use their cards, we cancelled and struggled for days now just to get the money back to our account. We regret the experience with them it was beyond bad!!!!

This is the worst company!!
first "someone" took more than $5,000 in matter of hrs out of the account and Bento didnt see that suspicous, because it was transaction after transaction, and their resolution was that we made those movements and that we never reported the card, which it doesnt make sence because I called them as soon as I received the email saying i was low on funds and they told me no to even dispute the transaction that I should wait. Second, I'm still trying to close since everything happen, on June. I called them for weeks and they just told me that they will send that to the supervisor and I guess they never do, because I'm still waiting.They dont let me use the card to take little money we have on the account. If you dont want to lose so much money, PLEASE dont use this company. They dont care for their clients.

We are still having trouble purchasing on-line.

Bento for Business has been an awesome service. It allows us to give our drivers a payment method in the form of a Visa card that let's us set limits on how much they can spend, where they can purchase i.e. restaurants, gas stations, retail outlets etc. and other options to limit use. When a purchase is made you have the option to take a picture of the receipt to store it with the purchase amount. I think any business that needs to provide it's employees with a form of payment would love Bento for Business. It's a great service!

My issues was never resolved. I was also not contacted back like I was told.

I also have issues with how long it takes for funds to be available.

Bento has ZERO customer service. I have been waiting over a week for someone from "the escalation department" to call me back. Emails are ignored, voicemails are not returned.

You can call till your blue in the face but it doesn't matter. Even the lady in charge never returns phone calls, I'm talking calls she said she would make. It doesn't matter who you talk to, don't ever expect a call back because you will find yourself waiting for days. Sorry but I shouldn't have to track down these unprofessional creeps! Just do what you say people! I run thousands of dollars thru their company and I cant even get return calls... screw this place. I'm running a business I shouldn't have to babysit the people I pay to perform for me!!

I don't normally leave reviews and I always try to give companies a chance to make situations correct. I have to honestly say that Bento for Business is a service I would not recommend; I would recommend looking for other solutions. There are many other companies that offer the same card services that Bento for Business offers and I would look at any other company.

With that said, Bento for Business has very little, if any, support. Chat service is never online and if you call, you would be lucky to get in touch with someone. When you finally get in touch with support, you are greeted with someone who is rude and arrogant.

The service is expensive when compared to other companies.

If you try to cancel, good luck. It is almost impossible to cancel the service and they are happy to keep charging you. The hoops you must go through to cancel the service seems to be almost fraudulent.

Please stay away from Bento for Business.

These people are out and out liars. Read the response to my post. I have yet to have a support person contact me about any missing documents, and have submitted every document they asked of me. It's funny... they respond to negative feedback, but they would not contact me directly to rectify the situation. That is very telling. Terrible company. Horrible Customer Service! I applied and provided all documentation and was denied a Bento for a business prepaid card for no reason whatsoever. Mind you, I was opening a pre-paid account with all documentation and a sizeable deposit. Avoid this company they are not worth the effort. When I asked for a supervisor to call me the request was denied. When I asked for the corporate office number the request was denied. I still have no idea why I was denied when I have other similar types of cards and a stellar credit rating.

Bento for Business has made our petty cash system run more efficiently. We can now see in real time how our managers are spending money, as well as address any issues with the card. If we lose a card, we can shut it down quickly and get a new one issued. We enjoy the Bento for Business system and appreciate the great service we get when we need it.

Bento works well for us. We've found them to be very courteous, transparent and their platform just fits our profile. We haven't had any issues and would recommend to any business.

Excellent way to have my crews charges monitored and controlled.

I really like Bento. It allows me to have a hassle-free gas card for employees. I love the easy-to-use dashboard and the categories that tell me where my employees are spending money. I can even choose which categories each card will work for- such as only gas purchases. Very convenient! Funds are simple to replenish- either automatically or manually. The manual option does require about 2 days for the funds to become available for the guys. I usually reload manually when the balance reaches a certain threshold.
It would probably make an excellent paycheck card also, for those who don’t have bank accounts/ direct deposit.

The ease of application, quick card delivery and immediate integration to quickbooks online are great.

My only suggestion is to feed into the bank feed and not straight into the register with an uncategorized expense.

Bento for Business allows a company to give fund access to employees. The controls are top notch in keeping your finances in power. If you need to allow employees access to funds and want to keep a close tab on your finances, this is the solution.

Bento is a great system, although not without it's limitations, naturally. I'd recommend it to anyone with a small to mid-sized business, looking for a credit card-type solution for your employees.

Is there a way that the cards that have a limit on them each month only see what is left to spend? Other than that our experience has been wonderful!
