Scammers!!!!
Don't buy anything from Berk Toru they're scammers. They also operate under other names: Bonafita, Lashmire, Mysa, Vard Fashion, Vibre Sothe, Fiorina, and I'm sure many others.
I bought a beautiful handmade leather bag from this company. When I got the shipping confirmation and saw that it had been shipped from China, not Japan, I knew it was a scam. But the packaging said: 'Shipped from Japan.' What I received exceeded my expectations. A terrible oilcloth bag, not even the shape of the one in the picture. After the first email, I was offered a 10% discount. I declined (I paid £69.95!!!). They offered me a 20% discount. I declined and decided to return the package - the cost: £23!!! I sent it back on September 27th 2025. I sent several emails asking for a refund. Of course, they told me to wait, wait, wait... These are scammers. I found several companies online using photos from a free website. A friend bought a sheepskin coat from Lashmire and received a rag.

Just to give you additional information as regards this fraudulent company working out of china. I used my overseas credit card to buy the goods. They arrived and once put to an expert for his opinion he laughed. I asked my credit card company to put a charge reversal on the two purchases which they did. So eventually I was back to where I was before the purchase. I was offered a keep the goods and get a 20% refund. I declined. Now being no worse off I demanded a full refund plus £45.00 packing and shipping. No reply. I then loaded them onto ebay (as did many others I could see) at a knockdown price. I wonder if these clowns are still in business if they are getting backcharges on their merchant account and getting no product back. Ebay must be laughing all the way to the bank!

DO NOT BUY - Only given one as zero not an option. Wish I read this first as just been scammed by Berk Leather. Cheap bag, not handmade, not leather. Have reported them to National Crime Agency/Action Fraud. Please do the same if you get caught out so Google take them down. Just been given return information which I have to pay for but interesting Mira Berk is actually a man in China. Please report this so they will be removed and shut down. Offered 30% refund so bag still costs £42, now pursuing chargeback through bank

Yes, Berkleather is a total scam along with the other names they use (Junie Boutique for one). I bought one and paid by PayPal. I did get a total refund from PayPal after a couple of weeks so I am happy for that. In the meantime BerkLeather (aka Modern Fashion Limited) offered a refund if I returned the item to China. I didn't even check to see how much that would cost. It was ridiculous anyway because they claimed the item was handmade in Japan. Also, they sent me the item from "Warehouse Manager" in Franklin Park, IL. The warehouse is a building for lease, by the way. Bottom line, they advertised a genuine leather purse. Not one part of it is leather. I wouldn't pay $10 for what I got let alone the $89.95 they charged. They were always quick to respond at their service site, but everything was BS. I understand now that the website is created by AI. That is why all the pics are the same across all the names they use. I think the answers on the service site must be written by ChatGPT. I tried to thank them for the refund after I got it, but they have blocked me. Now every time I see an ad on Yahoo, I look it up on Trustpilot. I do that just for fun now because I will never order anything from a Yahoo ad again.

I ORDERED A BAG/PURSE 07/07/2025 AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECIEVED IT AS OF 08/19/2025! HER, MIRA'S, WEBSITE SAYS DELIVERY IN 10 DAYS! MY CARD WAS CHARGED $75.55 IMMEDIATELY AFTER ORDERING! I WISH I HAD RESEARCHED THIS COMPANY MORE BEFORE ORDERING THIS NONEXISTANT BAG! NOW I SEE THE HORRIBLE REVIEWS! THIS SHOP IS DEFINATELY A SCAM!

Same scam as numerous other similar closing down offers. Scandalous that online publications allow these ads which are all so similar and all scams, cleverly designed to make it hard to get a credit card refund.BEWARE.

The bag is extremely small. Poor quality. The material stinks. And of course the cost to return it is more than the purchase price. I should have known. All a big hoax. The bags are nothing like what is described. All a big scam. Do not buy! Save your money. Buyer beware!

These bags and purses are DEFINITELY NOT made of top grain leathers!!! They are made of CHEAP ARTIFICIAL vinyl of the lowest quality! I am soooooo hurt and disappointed!! DO NOT BUY THESE BAGS AND PURSES!!

Aloha to everyone. I ordered 6 bags from this company recently. The bags were genuine leather of a good quality, and arrived exactly as pictured and promised. I have designer bags that are not made this well. I am more than satisfied with my purchases. The previous replies to this leather goods store are rather puzzling. I know my leathers, and these bags are AUTHENTIC GENUINE LEATHER. Well done. Thanks so much for the beautiful bags.

First of all, I love Yahoo! Everything I read is credible and vetted, until I ordered nine bags from Berk Leather. The website displays a mature worman who states "I'm retiring - All handmade bags UP TO 70% OFF until my workshop closes forever, "Each bag is crafted from full-grain leather that softens over time and carries the marks of your life." I am a dressmaker/designer. I work with all types of fabrics and skins. After four weeks, I received a poorly packaged shipment of vinyl bags. There was no authentication in any of the bags that indicated that these bags were genuine leather. I immediately contacted the company and they told me that they are a start-up company. Well, I thought that the person was retiring. Which was is it? They then offered me 20% discount on top of the "up to 70% off that was featured on the website. In addition to another 40% off because I purchased more than four bags" at a time.This fraudulent conduct must be reported and investigated. I contacted American Express which supported me from the beginning. They also informed me that they received numerous complaints from this website. American Express is the best! American Express temporarily refunded my monies and I have to wait until September 26, 2025, for a response from Berk Leather for final closure. I forgot that Berk Leather told me that if I wasn't satisfied I must return all of the bags and they will decide whether I would get partial or full refund. I went to UPS and the postage would cost $392.00. more than the first shipment of the vinyl bags. This is false advertisement, fraud, and manipulation. We should stop purchasing items from companies such as this Berk Leather. For the first time, I have to be extremely careful with what is advertised on Yahoo! Buyers beware! I will never purchase anything like this again!

Appalling and an absolute rip off. DO NOT BUY FROM BERK LEATHER or GRACE LEATHER. I received a really nasty plastic bag (more like a sack) and certainly not made by an Artisan leather worker. Read all the reviews. They all have exactly the same complaint.

This was a SCAM right from the beginning! I should had known when my Discover Card got declined 6x (👍👍👍). Yet, I called the DC and confirmed the transaction because of my fetish for handbags! Something that CHEAP should had been a warning sign. Another one was the request for tips!!! The ‘tracking #’ was not mailed from Japan. Two days later, I tried cancelling the order but it was too late. I then emailed ‘her’ and noted that I had ready notified my credit card company and ready to file charges. This is World War III!!! Let this be a lesson: must question when something is cheap & practically a give away… DON’T DO IT!!! You get what you pay for.
8/7/2025: I received the shipment today & was not surprised that all 5 bags were junk! I contacted Discover Card to follow up this pending complaint, after a lengthy reiteration of this nightmare (my fault for this fetish) & was ready to accept this boo boo DC issued a full credit. I did not expect that at all. Maybe this is the why I have had this card for almost 30 years!
8/8/2025: I gave them the ‘leather’ test by applying drops of water & check for absorption of the liquid…after checking for all other signs of ‘leather’. All failed.
I might need to keep them for verification in case the following contacts need proof: BBB, FTC, AARP,USPS(2 sets of tracking #s?), US custom and IRS (no tax…even eBay charges tax for international goods)
Also note that there are several websites with similar ‘symptoms’ of a SCAM.
8/9/25: I noticed an email (blocked all this company’s mail via spam) in the trash/spam file and I just had to tell them that their products are junk and even the homeless might not even want them. And it would be in their best interest to refund my credit card in full because other charges will follow. This is the only communication you will get from me. They responded: return the items to CHINA… I thought this lady is from Japan(?)…or fill out a form & they will issue a 20% refund. How very generous! Not worth my time…I am investing my time in shutting them down!

The blue backpack that I rec'd today, July 21 was plastic - not real leather like I'm used to. It does not work like a back pack. You can smell the fragrance of fresh leather, and this is not that. There is very little room in the pockets or main part of the bag. DON'T BUY FROM THEM. She is a fraud.

I purchased a bag from Berk Leather on 6/18/25. I was pleased with the bag when I received it. The first time I used it was on 7/11/2025. During the first use the shoulder strap hook unlatched. I was able to get it latched after several try's. Next the hardware that the strap was hooked to came out. There was no way for me to repair that. I reached out to inform them and received a very generic "Thank you for your feedback" response. The bags are cute, but don't do it. They are clearly not well made.

Please don’t buy anything from this Company! Sadly I forgot to check Trustpilot before pressing the order button. I immediately checked and subsequently cancelled my order within 10 minutes of placing order. It made no difference whatsoever. I’ve most definitely lost my money. I have emailed the Company numerous times. Initially was getting responses which were stalling a refund. Excuses like not being able to find my order despite me providing an order number. Those emails have now stopped all together after asking if the refund has been generated. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!

They said it was delivered but wasn’t. The carrier does not reply. Based in Holland. No proof of delivery. Numerous companies in the chain -AkrounaLtd, Dexterpix Ltd, Parcelpanel CNE based in China. Nothing from Japan, the supposed manufacturer

If you were wondering if this company was a SCAM it most certainly is. Their website advertises beautiful artisinal leather bags handcrafted in Japan when the bag I received was a hiddeously coloured cheap vinyl, nothing even resembling the advertsied product. The website is incredibly convincing so please buyers beware!!!!! SCAM!!!
