the soulless society

If you ever have the misfortune to make a complaint against a BPS psychologist for misconduct or breaching BPS 'ethics' then brace yourself for a hard time. My experience of the BPS was possibly as traumatic as anything you might want to take to a psychologist for treatment. The complaints process was emotionally horrendous and my overall conclusion was that is was a kangaroo court set up to appear just, but clearly biased towards the BPS member psychologist (who sexually harassed me). The panel of three 'judges' were a disgrace, with the tone of foregone conclusion in every sentence they uttered.

As a mental health professional I would caution anyone - patient, student or professional - against having anything to do with the British Psychological Society. In my direct personal experience there is something deeply wrong with this organisation.
