Instructions in day 2/8 covid test kit…

Instructions in day 2/8 covid test kit are very confusing and inconsistent, riddled with threats of having to purchase a new kit. This 'product' was clearly rushed to market with very little follow up and quality control. The owners of Better2Know are simply enriching themselves by taking advantage of people forced to do these tests.

Don't trust this company if you're needing a PCR test for travel. I followed all their protocols STRICTLY. kept following up my results ahead of time, only to learn that THEY LOST my sample. Caused a delay in my flight, all the hassles, cost and damage and they won't refund or respond to you properly. AVOID AT ALL COST. not worth your money. Fraudulent testing center.

Excellent when there is no problem

Excellent when there is no problem. Appalling when there is a problem - Customer service sucks and refunds are so difficult to get, it's a scam!

Details: Flying from the UK to Switzerland and back
Day 2 and day 8 test - Good experience - Tests were correctly sent to the address in the UK
Fit to fly test - Terrible experience - Called to check that the test would be sent to the address in the UK, not Switzerland and anyway, the flight was from the UK to Switzerland. Nevertheless, the test was sent to the address in Switzerland because that was the address on my credit card.
The test only arrived after the flight, so bad systems, customer service and no common sense!
Getting a refund - 1) Told that the problem was my fault, then 2) Told that I had to return the kit from Switzerland within 14 days of receipt; 3) Told I could not get a refund because I had not sent the kit back in time; 4) Only got the refund because I provided evidence from registered delivery records which showed I had, in fact, sent the kit back within the period.
Summary: Their staff are clearly instructed to refuse to reimburse, in the hope that most customers will give up. Do not use this service for time-sensitive tests.

PLEASE PLEASE DON’T USE !!

Absolutely terrible service.... please please do not use this company. I paid £450 for myself, wife and child for fit to fly PCR tests. When you contact them initially you are led to believe it’s so easy and straight forward. Despite doing exactly as instructed, we were told that our tests had simply ... “never arrived”. We wouldn’t have even known if we hadn’t chased them up as they never even bothered to even contact us. If you read the negative reviews you will see a theme emerging from the answers. Better2know will hide behind its “Royal Mails fault” and told us they would not refund our £450 and dropped us like a stone ! We were told complete and utter lies down the phone by whoever you got through to... one said “it’s all fine no panic” another said “it’s in our in house postal system” which it never was. This is a completely honest review and the first one I have ever felt the need to write. The final sad note is, due to this company’s actions we were left too late to get another test and lost our family holiday that we had so desperately wanted. Please don’t put your family through our experience !!

UPDATE: As predicted Better2know's reply has blamed the "Post Office" ! So let's see how they reply to the following:

My result finally materialised since my review.... too late and dated incorrectly.... no use to anyone !!
My sons turned up the day after the flight left...... no use to anyone.
My wife's test....... still haven't seen or heard anything about it !! No use to anyone !!

They state in the reply.... we will refund your unused tests !!! What use is that to anyone !! You have to do the tests to try and get your PCR clearance !! Of course they would offer to refund an unused test !! There wouldn't be any unused tests would there !! I am quite staggered by this company and reiterate please please approach with great care. There is basically nothing you can do once they have your money and all you will get is the buck passing to Royal Mail !! When our tests never arrived at the lab, why weren't we contacted immediately.... answer..... they don't care they have your money !!

One final observation....... look at the reviews...... everytime there is a bad one.... amazingly two or three five star ones miraculously appear .. funny that ?

All in all a good day 2/8 experience

Used better2know for my day 2 and day 8 tests as they seemed more reputable due to their company history, above pop up covid related businesses. Email correspondence was clear throughout. Day 2 test arrived two days in advance, test kit was clear. Results arrived within 48 hours of receipt. Day 8 fell on a Sunday for us and I was dissapointed the test was not dispatched Friday to arrive Saturday. We could have put it in our priority post box for the Sunday collection to arrive at the lab Monday. This mattered to us as we only had 3 quarantine free days before our return journey. I called Friday afternoon when I hadn't received a dispatch email but was told the office closed at 4pm. A note was made to dispatch asap and I was advised to call Monday. Monday the tests arrived and we did them straight away and got them in the post. I called as directed and was advised to see if they arrived at the lab by 8pm and to call back. I did call when they didn't arrive and was then told they couldn't do anything in terms of hurrying along the process until the tests arrived, was advised to call in the morning after they arrived. When I called Tuesday morning, after they arrived I was told I would receive my results that day or in the morning on Wednesday. There wasn't any nudging the lab along offered as per the previous phone call. By 4pm the same day I had my results, although my partner didn't get his until 12pm the next day. All in all a good experience with better2know, the testing and turnaround times were good and the customer service was there, and understanding of our situation. I called at a variety of times and someone always answered immediately. Just a couple of improvements, tests falling on Sundays need to be dispatched Friday as Sunday collections exist and every day in quarantine counts. I felt I had to call too many times to be told call again, call again, so perhaps a slightly more consistent approach, such as call us when the package arrived at the lab would have been helpful. After reading lots of reviews prior to travel I can say I'd reccomend better2know and would use them again.

Unreliable, don’t use!

Great you can call and speak to someone but totally rubbish as lost our day 2 Covid tests so no result! Here’s hoping the day 8 results come through but I don’t hold out much hope!

I've got to be honest, they have massively recouped their stars and, whilst it all took 2 weeks, I'm now a happy customer.

I purchased a test just before UK MHRA advised against this test.

Not knowing about this advice I submitted my sample on June 1st, 3 days after this advice came out.

Better2Know still processed my sample without informing me that they shouldn't.

Why did I pay for a test that is not sure to work?
