We like it

We like it. Its a no-brainer, although it cost more than using public transportation daily passes. The buses are claener than the other 3 competeing companies. However it does not run frequent enough. No as frequent as other companies we see.

Bus stops are hard to find

We arrived in Budapest at the main train station. The Big Bus stop there was very difficult to find, we actually walked past it without seeing the tiny sign and in the end had to phone them up for help. Also it wasn't very clear if the bus you were getting on to was on the red or blue route.

Good but could be better

There are many different hop on hop off operators. The Big busses are not as crowded as the some of the others. The information is a bit short and instead of the paus music they should have some history about Budapest.
The river cruise boat included in the premium and Deluxe ticket is a bit small and the seats are facing away from the windows. Try to go in the evening. Rating 3,5/5

Good experience and informative

Good experience and informative - nothing wrong - buses clean and tidy and the earphones worked well - in all languages.

Only comment would be frequency of buses we did find a couple of times when we hoped off there could be a 30+ minute wait whilst the buses were doing their circuits.

The overall experience was average

The overall experience was average. I would suggest the following (1) the stops were not in sync with the recorded voice on the bus and oftentimes the stops were not announced (2) there is no guide on the bus to tell you where you are at the stop so if the recording is not in sync and you miss the stop you're out of luck (3) there is no service to speak of as the only one on the bus is the driver so you are left to your own devices and the recording through the earplugs. The river cruise was nice as was the evening tour, but again, nobody there to welcome you or be a guide. Somewhat dissapointing.

Failing commentary and grumpy drivers

It was a nice way to go around town, but could definitely have been a better experience with friendlier drivers and working commentary. (The swedish commentary sometimes was replaced by spanish.... )

Disappointed

I was super disappointed in our Big Bus Tour in Budapest. The stops were never marked clearly or correctly. The timetables were all sorts of messed up and we ended up walking more than riding because it just was hard to use. I have never had an issue with Big Bus until Budapest which was sad because I talked great things to my friend who was with me (first timer). The boat was very nice and relaxing but overall I was very unsatisfied with our tour! Even the audio was dull.

Big Bus Budapest was good - as expected

The Big Bus Budapest was good - as expected. All of the 'hop on/hop off' tours are the same and work to a proven format. The headphones and equipment worked fine. The buses were clean. Once we had to wait 30 mins for a blue tpur bus but mostly they were fairly regular.

The bus drivers and staff didn't bother to check our tickets properly (or at al) and the other competitirs' sales staff seened much more proactiveat getting business. This was good for us, as we could easily get a seat on the top deck!
