BUGS IN THEIR FOOD!

DO NOT GO TO BIG EASY IN BLUEWATER!!! THEY HAVE BUGS IN THEIR FOOD & NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I found a caterpillar in my salad, the staff were giggling in the kitchen, we had to request to speak to a member of staff and then the manager as they just took my food away without saying anything. The manager then proceeded to pass the blame onto the salad company and had no empathy whatsoever. When I acknowledged his lack of empathy and poor customer service he told us “come on guys a caterpillar isn’t going to kill you” and tried to laugh it off. I was furious as you can imagine and will absolutely be taking this further as I have recorded the end half of the conversation and have proof of the caterpillar.

Discrimination at Big Easy at Canary whard

I recently visited Big Easy at Canary Wharf and had one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've ever encountered, especially considering the high price for their "unlimited" BBQ meat offering. I have been to many restaurants, but nothing compares to this experience.

Firstly, upon arrival, the knives at our table were filthy and appeared unwashed. We were served cold food on a platter that was supposed to be unlimited, yet we were only served once. After paying for unlimited drinks, I requested that two drinks be brought at once, given that it was taking around 20 minutes between orders. However, I was informed that this was not possible. Meanwhile, a group of three non-coloured individuals at a nearby table were being served multiple drinks, five at a time, every 10 minutes.

The service was appalling, and I have never felt so discriminated against as a black person. The treatment we received was unacceptable. I will never return to this Canary Wharf location, and I strongly advise others to avoid it at all costs.

Overpriced for poor food.

Attended Canary Wharf venue today. £11.90 for a salad, which is basically a plate of lettuce swimming in cesear dressing and crutons. £6 to add chicken. Not by any way is this an exceptional salad. Then charge £8 as a service charge. Very overpiced for food. Definately not a place i would recommend or return to. Explains why it was empty in a very busy location.

Not Recommended

Not Recommended, Big Easy Canary Wharf.

We visited to celebrate two birthdays and were initially seated in a dimly lit corner. Upon requesting a relocation to a table near the window from the hostess, our request was denied without any discussion. This interaction left us feeling unwelcome.

Dissatisfied with our seating, I approached another staff member, who kindly moved us to a window table. Shortly thereafter, the server who took our food order confronted us, questioning who authorized our relocation. Her abrupt demeanor was shocking and negatively impacted our celebratory mood, making us consider leaving.

Additionally, the food quality was disappointing. The dishes, including the lobster, appeared to be microwaved rather than freshly prepared. Preparing fresh lobster is not particularly time-consuming, and I can easily have frozen lobster at home.

Overall, our experience was highly unsatisfactory, and we do not intend to return.

Awful service in this place

Awful service in this place. Went there today. Took and eternity to get served. Then the food came, which was cold, after a long wait. Then another huge wait for the menu to choose mains. Every time we had to grab the attention of staff! Funny how there were so many staff, but seemed to be no one around to take the orders! Cutlery was also dirty with food remenants which was disgusting and had to be returned several times. Hygiene is not a strong point in this establishment.
After all that, I told the manager, and he took off the service charge form the bill, it was still £175 for a lunch for 4 people; absolutely extortionate! I will take this further with a manager.

A holiday treat for my 7 year old…

A holiday treat for my 7 year old granddaughter. She was grumpy. HANGRY. The manager coaxed her in and the staff didn’t bat an eyelid. Just smiled. She couldn’t decide her meal. Sabira, our waitress, waited patiently with a smile. We felt looked after. Sabira explained the menu. Made sure my grand daughter’s food contained no dairy. Even Made her laugh and turn grumpy to happy. Now my grand daughter has an ambition to work at big easy when she’s grown up … just like Sabira. Oh. Food was AMAZING. Best burger I’ve had in a long time. Lovely wine. Venue full of character. Clean loos. Great service. Hot food. Win win win We will be back to Covent Garden Big Easy

Best US ribs in town with live music!

We came to eat surf & turf & more while listening to live music. The baby rack ribs are still the best I had in Europe without contest for the past 25 years. A good blues/rock live band is always what makes me get out of the house so Big Easy Chelsea got me there again tonight with family and friends. I had to insist to be placed downstairs where the band was even though it was my only request when we booked the table. It sounds like another company takes the reservations over the phone so they don’t get the notes and when you arrive you almost have to prove you are telling the truth… this is an issue they have to address.
We were alone with 2 excellents blues musicians and we felt very special. Maybe we were the only ones in the restaurant, with the lovely Italian server, to really enjoyed music… anyway if the management does not want to open downstairs, tell them to put the band upstairs in the corner where they used to be years ago instead of letting them play in an empty basement dining room. Their performance is very much included in the price so you may as well enjoy tarring them playing before your eyes!

Annoyed staff in an annoyed place

First time since a year we decided to give another go for dinner. At the arrival the host seemed annoyed by their work and life. Had to wait a few minutes for second host to give a table while we had a booking. Also want to mention that had to call them up again as no confirmation email was sent to us. While we were taken to our table only one manager greeted us rest of the stuff around her were totally silent all the way. Probably she was new to the place. During order did mentioned that would like my soft drink without a straw as know they will deliver with it. Well my request been ignored and had to send back the straw. Starters were overcooked as well our main dishes also. Sides not except from it. While ordering out mains raised some questions of possibility to change the size of my meat for what I got the price which was not interested at all with a comment from waiter are you sure? Well that's not what I asked and didn't ask for the price of the food only the possibility to change it. We went out between our starters and mains for smoke and could see all the upset and annoyed faces of staff around. Even the host said bye whom we informed we just go out for smoke after she turned more annoyed as we responded to her. Portion of fries went down badly and cheese option is grated parmesan maybe in middle and have fun. Well that's not cheesy fries. Another round of sorts been ordered with same request no straws. And again been delivered with it. Well think it is difficult not to include any. Our runner when I handed over my straw just asked are you sure again. Well think so and also hoped that glasses are washed properly after those comments. Another issue was live music and sitting next to them. No one on earth informed us they will be at this time and it can be uncomfortable. Was very loud to us. After paying our bill with service charge and not making any fuss to ask for a manager and make a complaint no one said bye to us way out. More likely they were turning they annoyed heads around. Even made loud comments that I will say bye to myself which they did not even get it. So for £160 for 2 person with that food and experience would highly not recommend to go there. You can get same type of food in better quality and more friendly service from different places.

What a place in bluewater the first and…

What a place in bluewater the first and last time I go there .the middle aged women wearing glasses was as miserable as sin. ordered the grand appetizer platter good for 2 or 3 ... honestly when the plate comes out it looks massive I thought I will never eat that .then you start to analyse it ..when you take all the sauces away in 5 ceramic pots of different sauces in the middle off the plate .then take away the plate fillers the nachos
and the prawn crackers ..there was not a lot left .a few bits of chicken pieces in two different sauces .two jumbo shrimps in batter and calamari which was more like fried battered ..and the these horrible balls about 4 of them that resembled onion bargies but were tasteless so I left most of. Them ..I would of rather went to the local kebab shop and got a kebab than eat this pile of tripe .there was three of us there and the bill come to £120 with and enforced service charge of over £13.41 which I wasn't happy about .I ordered two platters two expensive chips at £4.90 a throw. And half chicken and shrimp and loaded potato skins. Like I said I won't be coming back here again ..if they are going to supply sauces with the food put it on a separate stand not on the plate so it makes the plate look full

Horrible tasteless food

Horrible tasteless food, stone cold, missing chips and sauce from the order, jumbo prawns were tiny and delivery took forever because the restaurant took ages to prepare and the driver was stuck waiting. The worst part is the prices are ridiculous for what you get, thank goodness there was an offer but still the worst £42.00 I’ve ever spent on Uber eats. Wish I could give zero.

Waste of money! BAD FOOD&SERVICE

Waited a long time to be seated even though we booked. Waitress was very slow to take are order but polite. When the food finally came it's was cold, the utensils to crack open the lobster was missing. Had to ask a passing waitress to help. Didn't enjoy the Lobster (tasteless and cold). The maccaroni chesse was nice but very little chunk of Lobster. Diffinatly, false advertising and VERY DISAPPOINTING! ☹️Toliet were filthy with hardly any toliet roll,or soap in the dispenser.
Had to go to the frout desk to pay the bill, they were taking to long to come to the table.
Total waste of £70 would not return or recommend.

Birthday celebration at Canary Wharf…

Big Easy …Birthday celebration at Canary Wharf
What was good :
We had made a reservation and were seated fairly promptly .Our waiter was with us within a few minutes and was polite and efficient.
. We ordered the bbq blow out for four £25.50 per head .Huge amount of meat and all very tasty/tender. . Truffle chips delicious .Overall Good value for money.
Great atmosphere with live music and a cheerful buzz from other diners ..some reservations though
What was bad :
Plates were ridiculously wet . Hadn’t been dried at all from washing and yet stone cold . Waiter replaced them quickly but new plates also stone cold . Food was only just acceptable warm so the cold plates didn’t help . Bbq beans only tepid . I felt gluttonous at the sheer volume of meat we wasted .Our doggy bag felt like carrying a brick .home Personally I’d have been happy to pay same price for less food . I’d have preferred to receive it piping hot with warmed plates .Come on Big Easy get a plate warmer it’s basic stuff !

An insult to American food and service

The Big Easy used to be great, we used to venture the Chelsea location years ago and have very fond memories. This is why I recommended to have our Team Christmas dinner at the Coven Garden location. I have learned to regret this now as the food was incredibly substandard and the service was very poor. They prioritise drinkers at the bar rather than the big groups of tables that are spending hundreds for dinner. The meat was very dry and the Manager's only offer to put this right was to throw some barbecue sauce on it. The live music was a highlight and they made a good Negroni but will never eat there again. Blues Kitchen is a hundred times better, try that instead!

Avoid Big Easy

Big Easy - Westfield, Stratford. From start to finish a terrible experience. The man that greeted us was absolutely fuming at the world for whatever reason. Our drinks order took a long time to come and when they finally arrived the waitress accidentally spilt one of the drinks. Which was fine but she didn’t apologise, and just asked if we wanted her to swap the half spilt bottle. The obvious answer being yes. The member of staff didn’t even clean up the spill properly, just used our napkins and then disappeared, leaving us a sticky table. We then finally ordered 3 burgers and a side of mac & cheese. The burgers were all very dry and the mac & cheese never arrived. I even asked 3 separate members of staff for another drinks order and asked where our side was. 15 mins goes by and no sign of anything. At this point we were in a rush to leave for a show, so we just had to deal with the situation. I then had to ask for the bill three times before it came and they had the cheek to add a service charge. A very bad experience with lack-lustre staff, who clearly don’t want to be there.

Bluewater Absolutely astonished at the price of the meals and to add an extra kick in the nuts, we are sat next to 2 people, screaming and shouting. Had a waitress, rushing for the drinks, then somebody completely different walking past took our food order and then when the bill come automatically charged 12.5% service charge. What restaurant presumes to put 12.5% on top, surely that’s up to the customer to decide I genuinely would have been okay if the service was brilliant and the food was good, but I might as well have gone to the local pub, horrible experience
