We found Big Padlock Ayr online (Google search) and contacted them, Annelize (assistant manager) was quick to respond and answer all our questions. It was straightforward to arrange a viewing of the storage facilities and great to meet face to face to discuss our needs.

The storage units are clean, dry and easy to operate, the security system is reassuring and set timings of accessing the storage facility is adequate (7am - 7pm daily). You can drive your vehicle into the offloading bay easily and there are trollies and wheels to help transport your items.

There are various options of payment and the contracts are flexible (with notice period).

As we were provided excellent customer care and felt welcome from the outset, we did not enquire or look elsewhere we visited and signed up…. So far we are pleased with big padlock and cannot thank Annelize enough, she is a wonderful person with great people skills and provides honest advice with options if necessary.

From the very start of our emergency storage requirements (turned out of temporary accommodation by a “friend”) Rachel did her very best to ensure that we could stow our house contents safely and accessibly. Rachel was even able to suggest contacts who might be able to help with the carriage.

At every visit Rachel knew who we were and what might be required, particularly when sanity neared and we were able to downsize to a smaller unit.

Now that IS service; friendly, professional and backed by experience.

Booked a storage container for two months at the Aintree site following a sudden bereavement. Staff there are so helpful. Being open 6 days per week was a bonus. The storage units are clean and secure and the whole site is well run. We dealt with Jackie throughout who is an asset to the company.

Took out a self storage unit for a year and will park our motorhome on site when a plot becomes vacant.
The storage unit is excellent with easy access and trolleys even provided.
