    Giving a shout out to this business

    Giving a shout out to this business. I got an eSIM from Bikago on line and put in the wrong email address so never got the confirmation. I emailed them and they acknowledged and refunded me back the same day. The eSIM itself was really easy to load and worked very well in Seminyak at least.

    WORST QUALITY EVER!

    I use to rent bikes and car very often and I can assure that Bikago Thailand was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! The terms and conditions showed during the order have been changed at the pickup. In particular the document I had to sign reported that I couldn't exit the Phuket and Krabi provinces. Why? I wanted to visit Trang as well. Anyway I had to change my plan because they could not accept that I would visit Trang...worst rental experience ever!

    Purchased a mobile eSIM for use in…

    Purchased a mobile eSIM for use in Bali, never worked from the time I arrived. Contacted you guys with 8 email messages telling me that it was being looked into. Ended up purchasing a new sim card so I had mobile network. Still waiting for a refund 3 weeks later. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH...DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

    Rubbish - didn't work at all

    The internet didn't work - poor to no signal. They seem to be bouncing it via servers in the Netherlands. Customer service was responsive and sent me a replacement sim card but that didn't make a difference. They then said they would file a report and left it at that. I got a much better deal buying a telkomsel sim card with loads more data, fast strong signal and a local number.

    Bikago Mobile is roaming on the Telkomsel network, the best network in Bali and everywhere else in Indonesia. Our (e)sims can only be used for mobile data and do not have a local phone number. We always try a replacement (e)sim as this usually resolves the connection issues as it's mostly an isolated (e)sim issue instead of a network/connection issue if you are in a well covered network area. If the replacement (e)sim does not resolve the issue, we indeed report the case to our provider for further investigation.

    Convenient but unreliable

    I got an eSIM for my Google Pixel for travelling to Bali.

    Positive:
    The price was okay.
    It was easy to install and get working.
    This did make it convenient having a connection as soon as the plane had landed (when it eventually connected).
    Performance when on LTE was reasonable.
    Support was responsive and tried helping.

    Negative:
    Connection would often start on LTE (4G), but then be forced to Edge (3G).
    Most of the time the internet connection over Edge did not work at all.
    The few times it did, it was VERY slow.
    Often you didn't know you had no connection as it showed working, until you go to use it and find nothing worked.
    This caused issues while trying to use WhatsApp to organise a driver on multiple occasions. They have messaged but you haven't gotten it because the connection is not working.
    Restarting of the phone resulted in a short period of access.
    I am technically capable and tried adjusting settings to force it to stay only on LTE with no success. The network forced the phone to Edge every time.
    Support tried everything they could adjusting the same settings with the same result.
    All support could then do was log a investigation with the provider they resell - so I was left with an unreliable often unusable connection.

    End result:
    I ended up turning off the eSIM as it consumed so much battery continually reconnecting the cellular service.

    After 3 days I ended up purchasing a local tourist SIM card for the network that Bikago roamed on for twice the price but 5 times the data allowance.

    It performed significantly better, was far more reliable and worked normally moving between LTE and Edge as signal allowed.

    I would not recommend Bikago Mobile based on my experience.

    The eSim was very easy to use

    The eSim was very easy to use, just scanned the QR code, turn data roaming on and I was connected. I ordered 10GB for 15 days but finished early and did an online top up for another 10GB. It is a little bit more expensive than regular sim card but worth it not having to go out to top up for extra data. The customer service is also very helpful with fast reply. Definitely recommend

    Fantastic provider

    Fantastic provider - I purchased an Esim with pre loaded data from Bikago Mobile ready for a 3 week tour in Indonesia. I was a bit sceptical as I’d never used an Esim before but Bikago offer clear instructions showing you how to add it to your phone (I have an iPhone and I wouldn’t class myself as ‘technical’ but the instructions were easy to follow and so I decided to give it a go, when I landed in Indonesia I activated the sim and it couldn’t have worked better, for a really low fixed cost (I paid about £13 for 5GB) I simply had mobile data all round Indonesia it was brilliant even up mountains and out at sea. Highly recommend!

    "connectivity" very poor

    Please note the level of "connectivity" of the service even via Telkomsel was very poor and not what I believed it would be. In the end, I relied heavily on the free WIFI provided at my accommodation and other venues I came across.
    I contacted them and though the were quick to respond, they blamed the provider. The eSim was expensive and I would suggest go for a physical sim once on the ground in Bali.

    After topping up my internet didn't…

    After topping up my internet didn't work. Was working occasionally and I barely used what I paid. I also contacted support buy didn't get issue fixed. My network settings didn't change when topped up, so it's not problem with my phone settings.

    Works flawlessly

    A friend recommended my to check out bikagomobile.com knowing that there are no more regular/local SIM cards available for tourists.

    I purchased their 3GB eSIM for my iPhone to test first as I had no experience using an eSIM in Bali and received my eSIM by email in a minute or so while still in Australia. I followed the instructions on how to install it at home so I could get connected when the plane landed at Bali airport. And as soon as we touched ground in Bali I was connected. No waiting in the telco queue at Bali airport for me or using the at best shakey airport wifi.

    Great speeds of up to 100MB/s and low latency which was perfect for the few (video) calls I made.

    Once my 3GB was finished I topped up another 5GB online which went perfectly fine.

    All in all I enjoyed 2 weeks of seamless connectivity for under AUD 40.00. I will use Bikagomobile again.

    Bikago eSim

    Bikago eSim was really easy to use and a much better option than paying for a roaming service. I took 10G for 15 days and only ended up using around 4G even though I was downloading movies etc. Great service and will use again.

    The reservation can easily be done online. New bike's and a lot of choise. All-in insurance and 3 GB free data.
