Efficient service although next day…

Efficient service although next day delivery is dependent on whether the item is in stock and also dependent on whether the day of order is a weekday which could make the p&p expensive at £9.95. It's unfortunate there is no alternate cheaper delivery option.

The item ordered was not in stock, but service was excellent

The item ordered was not in stock despite the website saying it was. Once they figured out the mistake thought, the staff were very good and keeping me updated on status of delivery and sounded like they went out of their way to speak to suppliers to ensure things got delivered. I would use again.

I have a mixed opinion for Biketrax

I have a mixed opinion for Biketrax. First the positive part, their customer support team is outstanding, quick, very responsive. They provide the products at a competitive rates.
Negative part: The team pays least attention towards the quality of the ordered products, they ship. I have ordered with them twice. First time, they shipped incomplete and unsealed parts (for 2 items), second time they made a faulty correction as they shipped me rusted bolts with unequal size (this time I have not raised any complaint), but stopped buying.

I'm sorry you are disappointed, and I'll pass on your feedback and see if we can improve on the "picking" part of the transaction.

In our defence - we're in a time of very low stock, and often we're often having to improvise to fulfill orders. In these instances the guys in the store room are under a lot of pressure, and it's easy for mistakes to creep in. This is of course, an excuse - not a solution.

The reason we sent you the used bolt for your crankset, is that they are out of stock for time indeterminate and not included with the crankset you ordered - which I appreciate is frustrating! We sent this free of charge, as a goodwill gesture, to say sorry for the mistake on the first order.

Thanks for your review, and we'll do our best to improve for next time.

The guys at Biketrax were amazing

The guys at Biketrax were amazing. They were flexible enough to modify a new DT Swiss rear wheel that they had in stock to the specification I needed, then did the job fast and shipped the wheel to me within a couple of days!

Really disappointing service...

I took my bike in for a service under the Scotland Cycle Repair Scheme. Having had it assessed, I was quoted £525 worth of repairs (on a bike that cost less than half of that) which I simply could not afford. The shop refused to just replace the brakes or handlebar tape for me, telling me it was "all or nothing" and leaving me with no option but to pay them £25 for the quote and collect my bike in the exact same state. Rather disappointing.

Hi Boris,

I'm sorry you feel disappointed, but our professional policy is to return a bike in safe condition - If we can't do that because of any reason (in this case, because the volume of repairs required to make the bike safe exceeds what you are willing to pay), then we refuse the repair. In this case, because of the sate of the bike, as Angus explained to you there is nothing that can be removed for the quote, without rendering the bike unsafe, and this is not something we are willing to do.

It takes time to provide the itemised estimate, and that is what you are paying for - this was clarified to you when you dropped off the bike, as well as the fact that it was in a very poor state and required a lot of work.
